Join me as I visit the magnificent Wells Cathedral in Somerset on a very cold and windy day!
I walk from the car park, through the market and into this incredible historic cathedral, where there is plenty to discover.
Inside we take a look at:
• The enormous cathedral organ 🎹
• The many beautiful chapels
• Magnificent stained glass windows
• The amazing clock inside - which we get to hear chime midday
• An art exhibition taking place inside the cathedral
• The fascinating Stations of the Cross — something I was particularly surprised to see in a Church of England cathedral, as I normally associate them with Catholic churches
• The incredible architecture and history throughout the building
Outside, there are some beautiful gardens, including the lovely central gardens within the cathedral precincts.
Despite the freezing cold and very windy weather, Wells Cathedral was well worth the visit. It's a stunning place with something interesting around almost every corner.
Come along with me and have a look around this amazing Somerset landmark!
