JazakAllah o Khair.
Allah (ST) states, “The disbelievers say: You are not a messenger. Say: Allah is sufficient as an eyewitness (shaheed) between me and you, and the one who has the complete knowledge of the Book.” (Surah ar-Ra’ ad Verse-43). In the context of the subject verses, Prophet Muhammad said, “The second witness referred to is Ali ibn Abu Talib.” Mawla Ali (ES) said, “My highest honour is that the One who has no associate has enjoined me in the testimony of prophethood as an eyewitness.” All Muslims testify to the proclamation of prophethood of Prophet Muhammad (SW), but Mawla Ali (ES) is the ONLY one who is an eyewitness when the subject rank was conferred!
