Why has it become so difficult for us to to submit to the commands of Allah? Drowned in debt, and interest... and involved in riba... we have become nothing but counter arguing masses
Many people lend money today and receive the same nominal amount years later, but because of inflation and loss of purchasing power, that amount may have significantly less real value than when it was originally lent.
For example, if someone lends 1,000,000 today and receives exactly 1,000,000 after several years, the number is the same—but the economic value and purchasing power may not be the same.
It would be very useful if this video could also explain the relationship between RIBA, LOANS, INFLATION, TIME VALUE OF MONEY, PURCHASING POWER, DEBT, and ISLAMIC FINANCE, and clarify where the distinction lies between legitimate repayment of a loan and RIBA.
I think this is an issue many people face but rarely see explained properly from both the economic and Shariah perspectives.
