3:02 “it’s a little bit sour, I think there might be some lime in there” as there’s literally a lime wedge ON the cup 😂😂 Thank you, detective Ollie

3:15 You know, I don't think I've ever seen these two go dead silent for that long of a time after eating anything. Now I have to go find this place if I'm ever in Texas.

You guys absolutely made our day. My wife & I lived in Austin for 35 years before retiring & moving out into the country 17 years ago, so we're kind of out of the Austin scene. But our 53rd anniversary is coming up & wife said "Let's do it!" Turns out Discada is 1 block from where she worked when she retired.

I like the change in how the Michelin guide approaches their stars, now. It feels more and more like it's food-forward as opposed to stereotyping a fine-dining experience. Food is amazing and deserves to be enjoyed in many different ways.. even from old tractor parts built in a truck.

You know it's a real treat when Ollie stops talking while eating.

0:32 Irony is, Vin Diesel comes from an artistic family (no pun intended), His father worked in theatre, his story is very Stallone like, and when he was young, he went and studied screenwriting, and kept auditioning for roles, in the meantime guy works as a bouncer, writes his own 2 scripts that he then make into films after saving some small time money - "Multi-Facial" and "Strays". Keep traveling to festivals to try to show his films, in one of the festivals Spielberg saw the 2 films and contacted him to aork in Saving private ryan, and at the same time was suggested to Brad Bird for Iron Giant because of his ability to havs distinct deep voice but gentle delivery he showed in his short films. It was fascinating what he was before Dom, and what he could be.

Love that instead of being like the hot dog places in Chicago, hating on each other, we got two "competitors" who build each other up.

I don't think I've ever seen the guys driven to silence before.
I mean, Josh takes his time. But Ollie? Mark this day on your calendars, a Silent Ollie is a rare thing.

Just tried discada and cuantas today.

The discada taco was a well balanced bite with enough acid to to tame the juicy fatty part. Tart, vibrant flavors with depth.

Cuantas was a meat bomb, ultra juicy, deliciously marinated meat, with a kiss if onion and coriander, as a subtle accent.

Both were excellent and unique, satisfying different tastes.
