I hate to say this but Chicken Little's dad is way too relatable to people who grew up with narcissistic parents, which was not what I think Disney's intension was lol

Most of the characters in this movie are really hateable because they're cartoonishly awful and yet still seem believable

"Why are they all bullying a child, they're just stupid." Exactly

Compare it with Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, where the father is supportive and clearly cares about his son (even supports him despite the lousy inventions), but he just doesn't know how to talk to him.

For something supposedly aimed at children, Chicken Little is one of the most cynical and nihilistic films I've ever seen.

Even as a child I was weirded out by how Loxi ended up.  Like she's not even herself anymore and it freaked me out

You forgot one scene.
When chicken little’s dad is protecting him from kirby’s dad, he says “my kid did not take your child, you left him behind...and that’s bad parenting...and I should know”
He practically confessed!

I remember seeing this movie with my mom and at the end she said she didn’t like it because, “It hits too close to home”  as if 10 year old me was supposed to know what that meant.

Yeah that fox girl basically got lobotomized and stripped of her personality so she could become someone's clueless dumb gf. That's honestly a nightmare scenario for me 😬

You know, the life of Chicken Little sounds like the perfect setup for a villain backstory. A child literally being ridiculed and beaten down by everyone around him, and has a worthless father that never supports him. This was more than enough for Chicken Little to harbor hatred for the world. With his new found knowledge of the aliens, he then gets a hunger for retribution by taking advantage of Kirby being lost. As the invasion begins, Chicken Little looks back at all the torment that happened to him in the past, but he doesn't feel any pity for the people, especially his father. Instead, he seethes with pure joy and satisfaction, watching as the world burns.

If the writers stuck with that plot, the movie would have been a whole lot better!

Honestly, the only likable characters who lived in that town, besides Chicken Little, was the girl duck and the fish guy. Other than that, just throw the rest of the town away honestly.

It’s funny, if you watch the deleted scenes, they actually make Buck look a bit better, he’s cooking breakfast, albeit poorly and tries to defend Chicken Little from the paparazzi and reporters.

It's a movie about childhood trauma and narcissistic abuse. In real life a whole town wouldn't be involved, but to a child it would definitely feel that way.

Buck Cluck saying “I’m supportive” without even doing anything hits me more than it should cause it reminds me so much of my dad- saying he’s supportive but not doing anything to really change other than just saying “Look at how supportive I am”

You aren’t supporting me Kenneth- youre just excusing your actions with meaningless words at this point

I wanna know, how many of the people who thought Foxxy getting lobotomized was perfectly fine ended up with a hypnotizing/bimboification fetish

I bet that Buck changed his last name from Little to Cluck to distance himself from his son and made his son keep the old name

When I first saw chicken little I legitimately cried because I didn't understand why they were being so freaking mean

the dad's stuck in highschool where he was loved and praised ,he couldn't grow up and actually be a good father and fulfill his child's needs , he instead chases approval regardless of the fact that his kid is sad . He's just a selfish toxic parent and I hate him .

Bionic: "This town should go to jail for what they are doing to chicken little"
