Excellent build. Cleaning up the torpedo tubes, and making your own 20 mm cannons, and adding detail to the life rafts is impressive. Your painting tips are always useful. Boat has a very good appearance. Looking forward to the next build.
A nice surprise to wake up to this. What a little beauty you've made of her, too. You do make a rod for your own back, tackling the old mouldings.....but they're a great watch and it's a joy to see the results. Bravo!
Yet another silk purse, Greg. I really enjoy these classic kit videos. I built many of these in my youth, and watching your builds is a trip down memory lane.
Great to see you work again!!! What you mention about modeling mojo coming and going is frequent, but you persevere and the outcome is there. Congratulations!!
Great build Greg. Just a side-note on the Vosper project: The Actor Patrick Troughton skippered either a Vosper or an RAF launch during world warII. He said once in an interview it was so cold on the open bridge he always wore the galley tea-cosy when going out on a night-time sortie.
I'm just glad it's here, love an MTB of the Vosper variety, well done on your perseverance & tenacity on those 20mm's most excellent, the seascape looks like the sandy waters off Lowestoft where these boats were famously based at HMS Mantis in WW2 , plus your usual superb build of an old kit, a well deserved 5☆☆☆☆☆'s
Another great build Greg so don’t beat yourself up! I attempted to make this when it came out in 1973 I think and I hated it! I’ve managed to forget that blasted rail round the front twin Oerlikons for over 50 years and then the memory came back like some sort of demented Airfix PTSD when I saw you tackle it! It was a pig of a kit I always thought but you’ve made it into a beauty - as usual!
