other youtubers flexing their lambos and hermés and my man comes out and puts them all in their place by buying a train. Thats what i'm talking bout

I respect that you didn't edit out the fart at 1.23 😂

27 years working London Transport… 20 years driving trains… this guy knows more than I do! (I can almost hear my manager saying “Your girlfriend knows more than you do, Styx!)

Folks… this is terrific! This is a genuine smile in a dark and miserable world! And he’s right… this is heritage. Well done Francis. Kudos ✊

The fact that you don’t edit out your farts but speak so eloquently and deliberate is why you win life. I’m glad you exist and share your passion.

You are such a nerd that you are actually cool. I'm not into trains but to see your sincere joy over a bloody train is really quite endearing.   keep it up.  You might end up converting me into a train fanatic.

107 was one of the good ones! I spent hundreds of hours driving that one. 107 had 101 in the middle (used as a trailer due to an ATO fault) and 103 at the other end. Really easy to stick to timetable on this set compared to some others. One issue with 107, it had a tendency to roll at stations while running in ATO 😬 a few drivers reported this but I don’t think the engineers ever got to the bottom of it. Still, I’m jealous, I’d love to have one of these units! Congrats 🥂

I would like a farting hat

Francis making tones before he got off train 😂😂😂

On unconfortable days I open YT and watch a video of yours, and it makes me smile. Thanks for that!

That would make a nice home conversion!

I used to be on the board of the SPT and when discussing the introduction of the new trains and the disposal of the old rolling stock we thought no one outside a museum would want a set.

It's not just piss, it's 'Really old, mature piss' 🤣 Nice one Francis, what a great project, can't wait for the updates

Farts. Piss scent. Rare shutter haulage. This video has everything!

A glasgow train. Stinking of piss.

What a surprise😂

Until now, I’ve never commented on a YouTube video. I don’t know why I feel compelled to now but I think I’ve just stumbled upon YouTube gold! What the heck are you going to do with the train? Love it.

Btw, it’s Guh-Vin, as a Weegie its class to see you perserve a wee bit of our transport history. The old trains felt a bit grubby and they were incredibly loud (often had a post pub shouting match with pals as we futilely attempted to continue our conversation onboard mid tunnel before going our separate ways) but they had this character to them. I do like the new interiors, especially the seats, but its weird not seeing these auld orange numbers doing the rounds any more.

Thank you so much Francis for buying and saving a piece of Glasgows subway history.

I am from Glasgow and I think that it is absolutely amazing that you especially managed to save the last train from the from the 1980s stock.

I always enjoy watching any of your videos and learning from them at the same time as well.

Thank you so much again for saving a piece of my city's history, it means a lot knowing that you will love and cherish the train and always keep it in it's best condition.

Its amazing to think that you now own a rare train and get so much pleasure from it.

You should be proud of yourself for what you have done by saving the train from getting ruthlessly scrapped.

I wish that there where more people like you on YouTube and social media because you are so genuine, enthusiastic and passionate about what you produce, i also genuinely think that you have one of the best channels on YouTube and you're educational at the same time.

Please keep on doing what you are and don't listen to any negative comments that you get because genuine fans like me will alway live you and enjoy watching you produce some of the best videos on YouTube.

I haven't seen that quality of smile since my boys (now 28 & 31) were small. Francis, you only stumbled at the end of the video because you were walking on air. Cheers, mate! I'm happy for you.

Nice to see a genuinely happy person engaged in his passion, especially with the state of the country right now.

This came up in my algorithm for some reason and I’m glad that it did.
I spent Friday evening in a profound mixture of bewilderment and laughter and found myself loving Francis and his subscribers (comment section) more and more with each video that I actually subscribed myself.
It is so refreshing to see a comment section without any haters or trolls.

Keep spreading the love, it’s great to see people laugh along with someone rather than  at them.
