I watched DEADPOOL (2016) For The First Time! * DID I CATCH ALL THE JOKES? * Movie Reaction

Today I’m watching Deadpool for the very first time — and this might be the most chaotic superhero movie I’ve reacted to so far. 🔥💀

I expected a normal comic-book action movie…
Instead I got:

🗡️ A superhero who refuses to act like a superhero
😂 Jokes breaking the fourth wall every five minutes
💥 Brutal action mixed with ridiculous comedy
😳 References flying so fast I probably missed half of them

The movie follows Deadpool, a mercenary who becomes an extremely talkative anti-hero after a very questionable experiment… and then decides revenge should be as sarcastic as possible.

This film delivers:

🔥 Some of the wildest fight scenes in modern superhero movies
🧠 Comedy that constantly makes fun of the genre itself
🎭 A surprisingly emotional story hiding behind all the jokes
💥 Absolute chaos from beginning to end

So the big question during this reaction was:
Did I actually catch all the jokes… or only half of them?

Stick around for confusion, laughter, Slavic commentary on American superhero humor, and my honest first-time reaction to one of the most unconventional comic-book movies ever made.

He can heal any wounds.
He can do a backflip and shoot 3 guys at once.
He can regrow his severed hand.

And she is impressed that he can sew.

you are one of the smartest reactors I've seen. You are catching all the references and you get all the jokes. And you are not just talking and interrupting the movie for no reason. I appreciate that you press pause if you need to discuss an issue.

Colossus, the big metal guy, is named Piotr Rasputin and he's from the former Soviet Union. He was a farmer and handy man working for the Russian government. His powers came and scared his community and he wound up in the United States. His sister did as well. Her name is Illyana Rasputin and her super hero name is Magick.

Hi Marta!
If you have not seen the X-Men movies yet, this one references back to them. A quick summary is "Mutants" in the comics are people with changes to their DNA (mutations) that give them special powers. All superheroes need an explanation for why they are super. Superman came from another planet, Spiderman got bit by a radioactive spider, and X-Men have genetic mutations.
The more recent Marvel films always have a bonus scene or two after the credits, so make sure to look for them. The announcer in the strip club was Stan Lee, creator of many of the Marvel comics characters. He usually has a cameo in any of those films. I got to meet him once when we were both guests of a big media convention. His personality in real life was exactly the same as in his cameos - a grandpa who likes to make jokes.

even in the original comics, one of Deadpool's "super abilities" was that he knew he was a comic book character and could break the 4th wall and talk to the reader. This caused him to be somewhat insane. One reference you probably didn't get is the very old man who was djing in the strip club. That was Stan Lee (RIP) who created MOST of the famous Marvel superheroes, though he didn't create Deadpool.

52:36 basically saying "Some people aren’t built to be heroes, and when they try, it comes out twisted."

The very last seen after the credits is a parody of the ending to 'Ferris Bueller's Day Off'.

Deadpool: Feels pain, heals & regenerates from everything.
Francis: Doesn't feel pain, but doesn't have healing ability.

Best part of this reaction was watching you recognize those rolling slavic-Rs and laugh at them. Love em by the way! Great reaction!

Ryan Reynolds is actually referenced in the Deadpool comics long before Ryan ever played the role on a movie. He was born to play Deadpool.

You should definitely watch Deadpool 2!

Colossus was rescued from the Soviet Union as a child. That's where his accent comes from.

I thought this would be towards the top of the comments , but he definitely feels pain. Every bullet, every punch, all of it. It just doesn't kill him or stop him. obviously

Fun fact: when it was referenced that Wade forgot his duffel bag, it was rewritten that way because the budget couldn't afford a full on weapon assault by Wade any longer so they changed it to what you saw.
