This is what our English boys need to be reading.

Changed my life forever discovering this series, sounds like bollocks but true

Timothy West 1934-2024 RIP

Harry is a bloody hero no matter how hard he tries not to be. Thiese stories just get better.

For me, Timothy West is by far the best reader of Flashman books

"Feeling randy is a damn romantic business!"

To Ignatieff: "Let me go! We've had tea with the Queen!"

"the agonizing stab of crocodile teeth in my leg" - more laughs per page than any other writer I know of.

Harry is a better hero than the rest of us.

Oh the joy thie Flashman series has given me for nigh on five decades. I decide to have a brief listen for old times sake and one page in I am entirely engrossed and right there alongside old Flash and hoping he beats the odds yet again.

One of my absolute favorite series, I didn't realize they had been recorded for audiobooks and hot damn what a fantastic narrator

For me, no audiobook narrator comes close to Timothy West. He’s on another level to everyone else and this series of Flashman audiobooks are just SO enjoyable to listen to, and an outstanding portfolio of audible work from West.

Fantastic adventure and very remarkable history all thanks to George Fraser, the best story teller ever.

Best education on Victorian history.

a soldiers prayer,, if you dont want me to kill the enemy lord please dont let me see them, amen

english history education was inadequate 65 yrs ago ( i am 77) one maybe 2 x 1hr per week.  George Mc. Fraser..using Flashman has done so much to fill the void.  Many thnx george.

RIP Timothy West.

A high point of audio books this combination , imo

I agree that West is easily the best narrator - Peter Bowles should have been given the film part - he just was the perfect
Flashman

The greatest thing on YT.
