Watching this sitting in Europe where it's virtually impossible to get your hands on strathmore bristol without selling one of your kidneys (if available at all) lol.

I'd listen to Danny read the phone book....

I think he is talking about the handle when he said " wooden nib ". the nib is the metal tip and in my years of drawing with dip pens, I never heard of a wooden nib but yes to a wooden or plastic handle.

My favorite nib holder is the Tachikawa Comic Pen Nib Holder (T-40)--very comfortable and well balanced. I find my hand doesn't cramp up when using it for extended periods of time.

I hope maybe you'll do this class again since I was unable to take it

Cheers for heads up and sharing I have tried my ducks cast off wing feather amazingly it worked !

Thank's, for sharing what you know whith us!!!🙏

Thanks for the informative video! I was wondering, do you think cardstock would work good with a g pen? I have some thick, matte, smooth cardstock that I love to use with my alcohol markers, and I was wondering if it would be good for dip pens as well

I sometimes like a Quell or bamboo.

I enjoy your videos. Besides being a talented artist you are an equally     The same small bottle of India Ink here is Asia cost is only $1 and the 20 sheets 9 x 12 100 lb paper pad. is $4. We have the metal nibs and nib holders pen shafts but we often draw with plentiful handmade bamboo at a cost of 30 cents apiece.

Signed up this morning.  Sounds like fun.  Just hope blick sends supplies fast.  LOL. Happy drawing.

I just got several boxes full of calligraphy stuff from someone who’s parent used to used to do calligraphy. Haven’t had a chance to look it over yet, and I expect most of it won’t be usable. Since it’s been sitting in a garage for a decade or longer, (and I think the wife mentioned something about a flood). But I’m still excited to get into calligraphy. I’ll probably look through the stuff this weekend.

Great video, thank you.

I'm thinking of getting one.

Are dip pens better while sketching for a water color drawing? And I don't know why someone disliked your video. 😢.

I missed the live Dip into Dip Pens. Cani still take it?

What's your take on glass dip pens.
