Paleontology nerd here. Sauropods had a trait called "gigantothermy", essentially meaning that theyre too big to be affected by temperature differences, both hot and cold; so thick fat for tropius actually makes a ton of sense.

It's been 11 years since I first watched Mandjtv. I was 8 back then, now I'm 19. Time really flies

16:23 "you could argue that this would be too overpowered."

*Contrary mega Staraptor that just released*: "Allow me to introduce myself"

Small note for the Mega Sceptile bit. Mega Evolution cannot change the HP stat of a pokemon. Only Dynamax can affect HP

34:08 tiny error here, no mega (Zygarde excluding) increases it's HP when mega evolving, so that 10 in HP should be redistributed to it's Special Defense imo

For Grapploct, I’d say increase its speed. When in battle or hunting, an octopus is incredibly quick. Being bulky doesn’t automatically mean slow.

Instead of Guts on Grapploct (which will just make it encroach on other Pokémon’s niches) it should have Arena Trap as its ability. You know, because it’s a judo grappling octopus?

ive been a fan of mikey for so long, i genuinely could not tell u the actual amount thats how long its been. it feels so cool to see how much he and his editors have grown.

41:20 Bro has gone cynical over castform hahaha

41:29 “Suck these weather balls” had me dying 😂😂😂😂😂😂

41:28  "suck these weather balls" mikey june 2026.  Coming to a shirt near you.

16:23 Stares in Contrary Close Combat Mega Staraptor

Tropius being shorter than Wemby is soooo funny

19:04 he said the thing!!!

If applin's evolution has a signature apple move then tropius should get one
Bananrang (the name is bad i know) -Tropius swings his neck to throw a banana as a bomerang.
This moves hits twice base power of 45 and in doubles it works like dragon darts .

34:10 small correction, megas cannot gain HP unfortunately, so the 10 HP statpoints would have tp go to either of the 2 defenses instead

Zing Zap is exclusive to Togedemaru and Pincurchin because, in Japanese, it directly translates to 'Shocking and Prickly', so Zing Zap only makes sense on Pokémon with Spikes.

I think Castform changing its abilities depending on the weather rock it holds is kinda awesome. Like Silvally and Arceus. 🤟🏻

37:37 When I received Castform when I was 9 in Alpha Sapphire, I loved it him so much. I kept him on my team through the remaining gyms and took him to the Elite Four with me twice. I remember putting him against Wallace's Milotic and having him tank a Hydro Pump and then it did significantly less damage to the serpent. I wanted him use him so badly that I kept putting him in situations he wouldn't win. He is my Elite 4 Champ though, and he'll always be one of my favorites. I'm excited to see the boost!
