Quick note on Silver - if you talk to Elm after beating Silver in Mt Moon in HGSS, he mentions that Silver came by to try and return the starter he stole, but Elm could tell the starter loved him so let him keep it. We can assume the same thing happened with his Weavile, so TECHNICALLY they became retroactive gifts.

"I can't afford Nemona"
Hahaha you fool! She doesn't care about money, only the fight. Fight! FIGHT!!!!!!!!

4:00 Fun fact about this! An Aether Paradise employee in the Alola games talks about how he worked in Unova to help return Pokémon stolen by Team Plasma, and returned to Alola because they had finished returning all the Pokémon!

"Since Sun and Moon came out 8 years ago... Jesus..."

I felt that

14:21 You know how you get Mallow to come to your region? Invest in her family opening a new branch of their restaurant in your region! She can run this new branch and spread the family name around the world! Heck, combine the restaurant with the gym like Larry did in Paldea, and she wouldn't have to go anywhere to be the Gym leader!

This is kinda late, but I would've made Sina and Dexio a double leader gym, similar to Tate and Liza. Since you want to increase the notoriety of your region and increase tourism, this would be a good idea. You could promote it as a special dual type gym, promote the leaders as a "couple" working together, and have a diverse idea no other region has. Trainer's will want to come to face against a dual type gym to become stronger. You could also use it as a training point with Denra to showcase double battle and partner cooperative team building. This would allow you to have both Sophocles and Ryuki as your final gym leaders at the end.

I love these videos because any other poketuber would just look at the teams and pick good ones but Mikey’s like “uhhhh I’m not relocating a minor to another country” or “what’s Bianca’s career trajectory?”

Mikey playing HR manager with unnecessary attention to detail is my favourite new thing

Michael: I cannot bear to break this adorable couple up.
Also Michael: (puts them in different gyms meaning they live in different cities)

Could you afford barry? Its one million dollars just for being late, imagine what his wage negation would be like

A cool gimmick with Gladion could be: Randomise the disc Sylvally holds! Make him a normal-type leader, but his ace Sylvally could be any type!

I dunno, I think Hau being a gym leader would kinda make sense. Hau has been raised around the job of kahuna his entire life, I wouldn't be surprised if he already knew all the traditions and responsibilities that are associated with kahuna and has even been helping do them for years, but the main thing he's missing is life experience. And Hala always struck me as the kind of person to encourage Hau to visit other regions to grow and get more life experience before settling down and taking over such a large responsibility; besides Hala is a spry old goat, I'm sure he has another 5 to 10 good years left in him as kahuna before Hau even needs to think about taking over

Mikey: I’m not hiring children!
Tate and Liza: sad twin noises

A note on Drayton: there is a bit of dialogue between him and Geeta where she starts to attempt to recruit him for the Paldea league, and he shuts her down immediately. I doubt he’d take the offer of a job very seriously; he’s content with slacking off.

22:47 Her academy bond story thing in the games explains this. She just really likes teaching, much more than being a Gym Leader. Therefore, the decision to not go with her is probably for the best.

Nemona has definitely shown precedent for scaling back her own challenge to meet someone on their level. I’d say definitely one to keep an eye on for when she is older as she’d happily slot into any rung on the league ladder.

I love how much personality Mikey adds to these videos. Like, we could have just had: "So X uses this and that pokemon, and that's strong, blah, blah" but Mikey adds so much more to them. I love these little stories

11:46  the moment he realized he’s old 😂

“ARGH THE MULTIVERSE” “it’s a canon event..”
