Three nano aquariums, 30 days in—and the first month has brought more than just new growth.

A planaria outbreak, Vorticella spotted on the shrimp and struggling HC Cuba have given me plenty to work through. In this aquarium display update, I share the setbacks, the changes I’ve made and how each planted nano tank is developing.

🌿 The Epiphytes Tank (Sky Garden): how the waterfall aquascape is settling in, how the plants are adapting and what happened to the HC Cuba.

🪨 Rock Fracture (Towering Inferno): a closer look at plant growth and the progress of this tiny rock aquascape.

🦐 The larger planted shrimp tank: increasingly dense planting, rearranged plants, planaria control and observations of Vorticella on the shrimp.

I also discuss water changes during aquarium cycling, aquarium plant struggles and the ongoing adjustments these small tanks need. Some things are thriving; others are taking more work than expected.
