Testing the new @aquapmo_official Co2 unit for our planted tank setup. It has been a long time since I have used a CO2 unit and considering this piece of aquarium equipment is so affordable I was impressed.
Make sure you pop into your local @MaidenheadAquatics to reserve one of these new co2 units as they are going to be popular and in short supply.
I have been looking to set up a budget aquascape for a while, and after hearing positive reviews from other creators, I finally have the chance to put this unit to the test.
The process focuses on balancing the hardscape with the right equipment to keep the environment healthy. Whether you are planning your own aquarium setup or just looking for reliable gear recommendations, this practical look at the installation process covers the essential steps for maintaining a clean and stable habitat.

- 4 sheets of gelatine
- 2g of instant yeast
- 1.5 litre bottle
1. Boil and stir 225g of water with 187g of sugar
2. Soak the gelatine in cold water in the meanwhile
3. Mix gelatine in sugar mixture
4. Let cool down slightly and poor into bottle
5. Cool down bottle in fridge unit jelly-ish
6. Mix 750g of lukewarm water with 2g of instant yeast and a tbs of sugar
7. Pour slowly into bottle, without disturbing the jelly
The gelatine provides the same effect these commercial bio co2’s do. I’ve been running this in my tank and it gives stable co2 for over a month for a few bucks.
Thanks Matt ! 🙂
