Billy's playing in C - his tech guy hits the transpose button and that drops the key down a step. You should teach it in C so people can learn it the way he wrote it. Beginners won't be able to pick up the riffs as easy in Bb.

"Where's the Orchestra" one the most creative, moving, beautiful songs he ever did

I am crushed by Billy Joel's diagnosis. I saw him live for the first time in 1977 and became an instant fan. Thanks for the video.

Excellent video. Billy is playing it in C on the piano.. (Watch the opening) he's using the transpose button. Shock horror. lol

I had the great pleasure to see Billy live twice. He was absolutely amazing and fantastic live. Billy has been my idol for over 30 years. He has sold over 200 Million albums and one of the best singer songwriters ever. Billy's songwriting is a Masterclass on how to be totally authentic, and whose words have a way to say exactly how you were feeling that leaves his audience in ore of not only his classical background and love for Beethoven, but his total back catalogue. If I had never heard a Billy Joel song, I don't know if I would have taken up playing the piano, but after all these years I can't imagine life without the piano now. ❤

I also had the pleasure of seeing him live on three occasions. Once I found him at a local hangout and got to shake his hand, A truly remarkable talent. Thank you for your expertise in showing us the proper way to play his songs.
