What I love about Car Bomb is that they're always dancing right on the edge of complete chaos.

that something is ring modulation by the way.

These dudes are insane. Can you imagine that the drummer plays without a clicktrack because it makes it impossible? And the dude nails it live

One step closer to getting a Frontierer reaction

Their drummer Elliot Hoffman is an absolute Alien!!!!

this EP is gonna be PEAK

It sounds like he uses a ring mod with his guitar and it sounds glorious

They are such a nice addition to metal, gorgeous

I love this new track. I've been binging on IWABO, Meshuggah and Car Bomb lately and my brain is all sunny side up

The guitar tone is juicy af!

I completely feel the music they are making

I sww these cats open for Between the Buried and Me, such a sick show, and their singer is one of the funniest frontmen Ive ever seen, lol. Really sick group

This is a great mathematical core metal band, I still love their first album Centralia from 2007. Huge respect for you to check them out.

Hey Geebz, first video I've seen of yours in a long time. Always loved your reactions and how open minded you are to bands that are extreme. CAR BOMB is one of those and they're a band I always show people to have their mind blown. Happy to see you're still doing the reactions, you always had sick insight and interpretations to bands people tend to look over \m/,

I absolutely love that you really get this stuff. The intention to create unease is no question what these guys are doing...nailing, even.

This band is all about patterns, if you learn the pattern, it SLAPS.

This very much feels like centralia and I fucking love that fact.

You know you've got something when you're considered extreme in a genre that is itself considered extreme

@4:53 LMAO "Oh! okay! where's the? what? okay? there! oh fuck... that's not it! How about? Okay! I'm feeling... shit! that's not it!"
Yup! Nailed it! you just perfectly described what Carbomb, not so much sounds, but feels like <3

The cool thing in the guitars is a ring modulator after distortion. It makes it sound like an armada of hostile galactic robots.

I believe the tuning is Drop G# on a baritone, so not crazy low. But their guitarist does use a whammy pedal for divebombs and pitch shifting.
