Someone needs to make more varieties of outdoor trunking colour - like ‘brick red’ and Cotswold stone etc.

The very concerning part is the maintenance scams. Tradesmen are so grossly overcharging these days. Makes anything hard for anyone, especially pensioners. Stuff in general should just work, or be user maintainable. But all are in on the repeat payments for life scam these days.
Good video by the way.

This is a really good video. It’s balanced and helpful. Thank you!

so who severed the drill cable? bit dodgy repair with couple wago 🤔🤣

Yes they're worth it, Had our Mitsubishi HI split since 2013, cools in the summer heats in the winter and doesn't cost much to run. Only maintenance needed is to clean the filters.

In a two storey house put a wall unit in upstairs hallway as it will mainly do the summer cooling and install a floor mounted unit downstairs as it will mainly do winter heating all run off one outdoor unit.

Very helpful information

I would love to get this installed in a multi room, for the upstairs bedrooms but I'm worried about getting the right contractor. This is what holds me back.

Excellent notes. Many thanks.

Thank you for this video. A lot of information packed in one vid

I had 5 Mitsubishi HI mini split units installed over 5 years ago by a 3 diamond partner Mitsubishi HI installer.
They did exactly what you listed and the units are yearly serviced by them to maintain the warranty.
Back then we paid just over £6k for 5 separate units for 5 rooms.
It was well worth it and we use them year round.
Servicing cost isn’t cheap yearly for this many units but we wouldn’t be without them now.

Make sure the indoor unit is not above or near seating as it can be uncomfortable having air blown over your head.
We have 2  Mistsubishi indoor units installed 10 years ago on the opposite wall to the main seating/sleeping areas and this is very nice.
One in the main living room and one in the main bedroom. They are getting old but still work fine.
Thanks, this is good information.

Thanks, very informative video.

Thank you so much for this video. I really appreciate it. Mostly when you look it's all marketing. This was a balanced pros and cons. As I'm just looking for my master bedroom and lounge which are on the same external wall I think a multi- split system will work for me.
Again, thank you for your video.

Well placed outdoor units are important, cuts to shot of outdoor unit strapped above front door of the property when it could have been placed on the side and hidden from the street. LOL

Great advice, thank you.

We heat the whole house with two units - we have a usual wall mounted one near the ceiling upstairs but a floor level one downstairs. In winter they both heat the house; in summer the one upstairs can cool the whole house while in spring and autumn we only need the downstairs one to heat the house. The floor level one is more comfortable for heating - blowing down to the floor. This system is much more efficient than a multi-split because most of the time we are only running a single 3.5kW unit (that is 3.5kW output). Having two separate mini-splits also means a lot less trunking and pipework on the outside if you can position the units either side of the wall where they are needed.

good advice

Why is the government subsidising A2W heat pumps, but not A2A heat pumps?
