I’ve seen this subject covered at least half a dozen times.  Never ever heard these details before.  Completely changes the story when you know more about the victims.  Makes it real, and not about the perp.  Thank you CaseFile

Leave a 15 yr old to have to talk to a pervert - awful

Had Shannon not gone missing I don't believe  this evil creature's reign of terror would have come to an end for even longer..
The police could not have cared LESS about sex workers going missing - they had all the evidence right there at their fingertips 😢 they could have had him years ago- SHAME ON THEM.

Rest in piece to all the victims of RH , to Shannon Gilbert without whom nobody would have known about any of these crimes and to her mother Marie who never gave up teying to find out what happened to her daughter.. ❤❤

Shannon’s terrible end threw a searchlight on the incredible corruption of the Suffolk County police.

Five minutes in and I've already learned new information despite following this case from the beginning.
Your investigations are awesome

Crazy if the cops in NY had have done their job properly LISK could have been caught way quicker

This was beautifully told, and I know that's a weird word choice given the subject matter, but I can't think of another word that is more appropriate to describe the level of care and respect that went into this.

You brought the victims back to life, in a way. You made it impossible to not see the victims for what they were: people just like all of us. They have families, loved ones, they had likes and dislikes, goals and dreams.

This is the best example of why taking the time to do things right is so important in the true crime sphere. Thank you for doing what you do.

Taking the least exploitative, most humane, and also most compelling, approach to presenting this case because it’s Casefile, and Casefile is the best.

Imagine being employed to "protect and serve" and then ignore these vulnerable women to only protect and serve their own interests.

This is quickly becoming my favorite true crime channel. Amazing work.

Finally, a comprehensive and complete documentary about this case. Great work! Can’t wait for part 2.

This victim focussed research is unique - thank you so much!!

Nearly two hours long and part 1/2?
This is going to be a rough one.
Thanks Casefiles

Don’t delay with part 2 please 👍🏻.

Excellent and empathetic research and writing, as always. Thank you Casefile❤

Thank you as always Casefile!

Must've worn my phone out checking today, never to late thanks casefile for completing my Saturday 😊❤

Great coverage as always , thanks casefile, this is best channel ever!!!

I would feel insulted too if the police were using what the victims did for a living as a means to calm the public that a serial killer would not be after what I heard implied was "one of us." Such bias against victims as if what the person did to survive while alive makes them any less human than they were.

What a cliff hanger.Thank you Casefile.❤❤❤
