It's actually fun that some people are still making BG3 content.

This build really shines while on a party, there are many good party synergies, for example Frozen Targets get double damage from Thunder and Blunt damage, prone targets cant stand up if they cant move so if they are Maimed they lose their turns, so  for example a karlach Tiger barbarian using "Punch Drunk Bastard" and with the Hoard froast boots, can just run around and AoE maimed everyone that is proned leaving them Locked in the prone condition skiping turns, and she can also do devastating amounts of damage to frozen targets with Rage+Great Weapon Master+ Punch Drunk Bastard (Does Thunder and blund damage while drunk). Since you are evocation you can also keep casting your evocation area spells like Ice Storm or Cone of Cold on top of Karlach and not cause any issues at all.

Couldn't of found this at a better time. Just started up another playthrough and was looking for a new build to try. Looks great man, cant wait to try it.

High initiative is useful on this build, especially on honour mode. Raising Intelligence to 17 instead of 16 (lowering wisdom to 10) combined with the hag’s hair would allow this build to choose the Alert feat at level 4 and still reach an intelligence of 20 by level 8. One of my favourite ways to build Gale.

I think the rain dancer is a staff worth mentioning. It's very early (first merchant in the grove)  and create water for free is pretty nice for an ice wizard.

0:45 I just realized that despite closing in on 1000 hours in this game, I've never even considered playing a human. I don't even know if I've ever cycled through the face options

Those Flaming Fist hot heads need to chill...and this build can help. 😂😊

I appreciate the FFT music in the gameplay segment.

mage hand to throw some water jugs also help.

boots to prevent falling because of ice terrain.

ring that makes ice terrain when you cast frost spells.

sorc 1, dragonic ancestry (white dragon) gives Armor of Agathys to be cast with spell slots, also AC +3, +1 HP per level and CON save proficiency. Get magic missile and shield; for cantrips: mage hand, minor illusion, friends and light.

then wiz 11.

I been working on a similar build for a long time! Thank you! I wanted an Evocation Ice Control Wizard. I did this on Gale. I love this build, just seeing enemies stumble and trip on ice is great.

Cold Snap is great.  It still has the bug where it always applies Chilled.  I tend to use it on ice based abjuration wizards.

If I'm making a frost mage his name is Brendan Freezer

Great build! Enjoyed seeing ol' reliable Evocation Wizard getting some love.

Great build, thanks!

Oh, that was fast! I remember you saying you were going to update the frost mage. I might need to respec Gale into this one.

Potent cantrip only affects cantrips with saving throws, not including ray of frost.

Awesome, bg3 videos are my favorites

I started to feel cold after watching this video ❄☺

Really fun build! This would be difficult in honor mode solo or something but otherwise its super fun

The best part about this is…if you get bored with ice you can change your build to fire and scorch the earth 😂
