I bought this Mitsubishi Colt for just £80… but is it actually a bargain, or have I just bought myself a nightmare?

In this video, I go through everything wrong with it, fix what I can, and see if I can turn it into a profit — all while keeping costs as low as possible.

The big question is…
How much can I realistically sell it for?
How quickly can I flip it?

80£ is dirt cheap for a car like this, it looks pretty and and the fixing was very cheap, I'd buy IMMEDIATELY if i was in the UK

Fun fact, These are the smallest production cars to feature a fully automatic folding metal roof!! And it was styled by Pininfarina! These are so cool!

A slightly dinged car, with two tone finish 😉 otherwise great.. that's fantastic care-free fun motoring. £1500 is cheap enough to be a weekend sunny days car. It'll sell in a day too 🤞

Tbh, the original seller probably would've got more than £80 for it if they'd just given it a wash before selling it. One blast with that pressure hose and it already looked presentable.

Only just seen this channel and it's great. I love the repair rather than replace mentality, especially cleaning the seals and fixing the shifter mechanism, most people would throw it away and replace. Great work and a surprisingly appealing car.

Absolutely pre-fill your oil filters - this is especially important on certain engines (like some BMWs) that are sensitive to rod bearing damage.

Pre filling is pointless and makes it more difficult to get the thread . Also from those that are changed from the top gives it away that its not worth the extra difficulty . Its one of those `` if it makes you happy ``.

The colts a so so car but pleased you dragged something from the scrappers and gave it a new life . Its great something that isnt boring gets t live again . Kudos

I had three of them. All suffered with window reg failure that is a common issue. Engines are ok if they are serviced and the roof will leak and creak if you don't use silicone grease of the rubbers all round. Turbo 3 is pretty quick and can be remapped. The only drawback is body bits and interior bits. But they are fun!

Wd40 is ok for door hinges etc. but for something exposed to the weather lithium grease is a better bet as it does not wash off as much with water. It only costs a few pounds more for a much larger can.
