Joining the conversation is Leeza Mangaldas, author, sexual health educator and one of India’s most prominent voices in conversations around sex, sexuality, pleasure and consent. Alongside her is Dr. Seema Anand, mythologist, storyteller and author of The Arts of Seduction and Speak Easy, who brings the lens of history, culture, ancient texts and relationships to our understanding of intimacy and desire.
Together, we explore what sexual chemistry really means, what good sex means from a woman’s perspective, why female pleasure continues to be misunderstood, and whether the way we talk about sex has historically been shaped by a predominantly male perspective.
We also discuss some of the questions many couples struggle to ask how important is foreplay? Can sexual incompatibility affect a marriage? Is it okay to schedule sex? Is there a “right” amount of sex? What happens when intimacy becomes routine? How do couples talk about their sexual needs? And what does it actually take to become a better partner?
The conversation also looks at female pleasure across different stages of life from pregnancy and postpartum changes to perimenopause and menopause and how desire, arousal and libido can change over time.
We talk about sexual education, pornography and erotica, masturbation, sex toys, emotional intimacy, infidelity, shame around female desire, and why so many women struggle to communicate what they want.
