The Art of Dying is in my opinion (and many others) Gojira's greatest song and one of the greatest and more complex drumming Metal songs ever, it is a masterpiece

Esoteric surgery is criminally underrated, that track rips!

The other singer on the track at 27:51 is Randy Blythe from Lamb of God, they're both real big fans of each other's bands so Gojira flew him out to their studio in France to make this song.

Damn man gojira is in a league of their own. Lyrics are almost haiku-ish. With a deep rich spiritual backround/meaning. So deep and instrumentaly so effin lites out. Absolutely much love

So cool to see someone new connecting with Gojira. Makes me fall in love with the band all over again.

s'all good bro.. I've shed plenty tears to Gojira, too, never sad tears either. the dedication they have, their passion, their rhythm and melodies, their craft, knowledge, understanding of placement, their overall composition—you can feel the love that they put into their music. Pure organized chaos. Massive wall of sound and emotion. Kudos. Can't wait for the next album. Stay blessed

Man what a ride. Best album ever made in my opinion. For the next one, L'Enfant Sauvage, there is a deluxe edition with two extra songs not found anywhere else. If you want more Gojira, make sure you do that one.

Art of Dying is a top 5 song of any genre for me. From the instrumentation to the lyrics, it's beautifully brutal.

The intro to Art Of Dying is very well known in drumming. Basically It's a 45/4 Time Signature, with 2 halfs of 25 and 21. It's a pattern of 555333 55533. Here's a easy way to visualize it.
o = Bass
0 = Snare

AND on top of that with the cymbals Mario is playing the 4/4 beat keeping the pulse. Insane shit.

I don’t know why but this album has a lot of songs that are criminally under rated like example ( yamas messenger all tears esoteric surgery and wolf down to earth)

So beautiful watching new people becoming MetalHead before us.  Keep feeding him Peeps.

Man I listened to this album every day for many moons when it came out. So good. Peak Gojira experience. They have an older live set called "The Link Alive" for anyone who hasn't been exposed to it, it's just incredible. Thanks for sharing your reaction ma dude.

Absolutely love that you don’t interrupt the music constantly like most reaction videos

There are some Gojira songs that genuinely made me emotional when I first heard them, the power and emotion in them is just unmatched. Mario is also one of the best drummers to ever live, you should check out Meshuggah if Mario has been the stand out for you.

You have some of the best reactions I’ve ever seen, man! Can’t wait for you ti experience L’Enfant Sauvage. The trio of From Mars To Sirius, The Way Of All Flesh and L’Enfant Sauvage being in a row is bonkers.

he’s ready for Meshuggah

This is my favorite band everrr. I've listened to a lot of metal, but something about Gojira is special. The first time I listened to this album, I was so overwhelmed with emotion it made me cry. I've yet to find another band whose music makes me feel the way Gojira does. It's an absolute pleasure watching you discover this band. Your energy is so infectious lol.

Easily one of my favorite death, metal bands by far. I’ve been a fan of their music since I was 15 years old and seeing them play at the Olympics made me so happy.. huge moment in metal

the reaction to the drums at 16:21 is amazing 😭
