Heck yeah, folks! We're starting this one bright and early at Old Faithful in Yellowstone National Park. I'm parked inside the lodge staying warm, coffee in hand, waiting on the most famous geyser in America to do its thing. And when she goes, she goes!

Once Old Faithful puts on the show, we hit the road and head east over the Continental Divide to West Thumb Geyser Basin on the shore of Yellowstone Lake. I walk the whole boardwalk trail down to the water, and let me tell you, this place is something else. Hot pools steaming and draining right into the lake, bright colored springs, and a bubbling mud pot plopping away like a pot of chili on the stove. To me, this is one of the best stops in the entire Yellowstone series, and a lot of folks blow right past it on their way somewhere else. Don't be one of 'em.
