This week on Vanlife in Scotland...After four weeks away from my campervan, I'm finally back in Skye and getting my life on the road started again.

It's been a difficult month, with a back injury bringing my journey around the entire coastline of mainland Scotland to an unexpected stop, followed by Skye spending almost four weeks in the garage.

But she's finally home.

This week, I'm getting everything back where it belongs, introducing Ralf and Olli to life in Skye and beginning the long-awaited journey back north into the Scottish Highlands.

Along the way, we explore The Hermitage, travel up the A9 towards Inverness, visit Rogie Falls, discover the incredible Corrieshalloch Gorge and explore the fascinating trees of Lael Forest Garden.

And after finally trying somewhere I've wanted to visit for years, the Ullapool Seafood Shack, we find a beautiful lochside park up to slow things down for a few days.

After everything that's happened over the last month, it feels incredible to be back on the road again.

And next week, we'll continue north to Kylesku before finally turning southwest and continuing our journey around Scotland's spectacular northwest coast.

So good to see you back on the road again and now with 2 of the cutest boys!! Glad your back is recovering well also! Never apologize for talking to your boys. I talk to our 90 pound furry grand dog all the time and I have no regrets lol As a matter of fact she sends her greetings to Ollie and Ralph ;) Looking forward to the next episodes! Welcome back, David!!! It is good to see that great smile again. As a dog owner myself (a Boxer and Lab/Pitt mix), I, too, talk to my pups. Ralf and Olli will be great companions for you. So pleased to see you back on the road again.....and with two little cuties to keep you company. Can't beat dogs for company. I wouldn't be without my two for the world. I stopped off at the house of Bruar just earlier on today for a coffee to keep me awake on my journey down to London and it's also a great place to let the doggies stretch their legs.

Your looking sooo much happier, between feeling better and getting back on the road with Skye but I think it's the great company who've tagged along with you for your adventures!! Those wee boys will keep you (and us!!) entertained but also maybe slow you down so you don't overdo it too much too soon etc😉 Love the way you talk to them n you're right coz they are family but the best kind - don't ask you for money or car keys🤣🤣❤ xx
