Is it a good idea to wipe some silicone oil on those seals and the o-ring?

It's virtually impossible to get that o-ring on the inlet valve. I've tried many times... and without a tapered mandrel, I couldnt do it.

😮Wow ! I just started dabbling in a few repairs and upgrade rebuilds for pals with air rifles or airsoft rifles recently but never seen a battery on a air rifle.
