I'm glad that the most exceptionally well-made FNF songs aren't being treated as child's play in the music world just because it's different.

it's worth noting that this is a FAN mod, you'd be correct - the actual game is a lot less dramatic and crazy haha. i find the effort very respectable either way shits crazy, super passionate fanbase all things considered. i'd totally recommend the base game's music too! super fun stuff all around methinks, very silly.

thank you for validating that im not weird for liking the beepity boopity people and that theyre actually pretty fire
jokes aside i genuinely think fnf is one of the greatest examples of how unique and experimental videogame music can get. i mean, people modifying and using their own voices as essentially lead instruments is pretty unique by itself!

i CANNOT front anymore this shit is just too raw i love it

So, there is a bit of lore here. The opponent in this song is an alternate version of BF named 'Yourself' who has lost his version of GF named 'Herself'. The character was originally created by a creator named Divide who tragically passed away. The lyrics at the end are usually interpreted in three ways: It could be sung directly to BF, sung to Herself, or sung to Divide.

I would recommend listening to any song that Sturm/Churgney Gurgney has made or had a hand in making. He traded his grammatical ability for his music making and singing ability. Some notable examples i'd recommend:
-Darnell Wet Fart (yes that's actually the name)
-Alert & Legacy (They go together so listen to Alert first)
-Let There Be Light (Duccly made it but Sturm was involved. Duccly's work is also great)
-Your Copy
-Manual Blast (Armydillo made the first part, Churgney worked on the second part of the song)

Your analysis is really interesting

Because after the peak where Yourself (yeah that is the alternative Bf's name) sing with lyrics

There is no more power struggle bar

Probably to show that they have reached the understanding.

2:22 Fun fact: they are actually the same size (7"-ish). The smaller Boyfriend (yes thats his name) is just squished for the funny. And regarding his voice, it's pretty much just his standard voice used in every FNF mod.

There's something beautiful about a song called Silly Billy made by a guy called Churgney Gurgney being such a beautiful love letter. Both to a community, and a lost member of it.

I was actually a bit scared that he's not gonna like this, but I'm glad he was able to enjoy it, despite not knowing/understanding some things about FNF.

If you're going to start venturing into FNF, I wanted to give you some context for what you're getting into, because FNF is a bit of a behemoth.
The overwhelming majority of what people are going to recommend is fanmade mods, like this one, and there are a LOT of different mods; it's easy to get bombarded first getting in, and get conflicting impressions. Some mods are very meme-y, others take themselves pretty seriously, and others kind of blend the silly and serious together, so expectations are pretty diverse. It can be difficult to judge what to expect from a mod.
I really believe mods are where the game shines best, though. The base game is fun and the music is good, but FNF really is at its prime being more of a base platform to build on. It lends itself extremely well to being a canvas for fans to paint on, and many mods go ridiculously far and above beyond the base game in terms of their scale, presentation, complexity, and quality, both musically and otherwise. (Also difficulty... Some mods really do take it too far with trying to be brutal, and it hurts player accessibility, but that's not really relevant.)
The more important point I wanted to make is that FNF is also a game that can potentially end up being another Pizza Tower situation, because the music can definitely be... weird, and kind of a mixed bag in terms of accessibility. FNF has sort of carved out its own odd little subgenre that definitely takes some getting used to. Most tracks are comprised of two characters beep-booping back and forth in whatever tone is their respective "voice," and some voices are definitely less musical than others. You're very open-minded when it comes to music, but I still figured I should give a bit of a heads-up for expectations if you keep exploring FNF, because the tracks can get pretty esoteric, and the range of different vibes is incredibly broad.

"Bab beep boob badibap" 🗣️🗣️🗣️🔥🔥🔥

the antagonistic feeling you were getting from the start and then the instant paradigm shift when you actually hear what he has to say through the lyrics... its so effective its almost chilling.
and this is from a song called SILLY BILLY.

"I was six feet when I came out of the womb"... oh god I just imagined a six foot LONG baby. like, marco only grew horizontally so he didn't look elongated...aagghhh get it out of my head AAAGGGHHHH

The simplest way I can put the story is that this is a battle against your alternate self that lost everything, including the love of his life, and spiraled into insanity

I love how you were so curious about the story behind this and when the lyrics came up you perked up and went through so many different thoughts visibly hahaha

It’s actually very interesting to hear a lyrical analysis chorus-wise, most people react and talk about the instrumental so hearing about how the vocals bounce off of one another is super cool!

So, Friday Night Funkin' was originally a little rhythm game made for Ludum Dare, a gamejam where they only had a limited amount of time to make a game. Over time, they polished the game up more and more, adding more songs and weeks and characters. That's the main game. Some of the most popular FnF songs however, like SIlly Billy, are entirely fanmade projects made as mods to the original game. Friday Night Funkin' genuinely has one of the biggest modding scenes I've ever seen to date, and it's incredible what's come out of it. If you want to listen to more FnF music, I highly recommend tracks like All Stars from the Mario's Madness mod. It's one of my favorites! Tysm for reacting to this song, it's great!!

10:43 bro was like: hold up, wait a minute.
