Not only is dressing properly important, so is speaking correctly.

A fucking shower cap?? Ffs 🤦🏽‍♀️

We, as a society, need to bring back shaming. A lot of what we are seeing across all communities is due to lack of shame.

Seriously, who would hire someone who thinks it's okay to wear a shower cap to work?  I know I wouldn't.

It’s called bring back SHAME 🤷‍♀️

Unfortunately we're in the Age of Tacky 🤦🏾‍♀️

They look ridiculous with those shower caps on 😂

Good luck on the channel dude it's hard work

When a college imposes a dress code, it is part of the education to prepare for the real world.

Dress codes are not racial.  I was born, grew up and spent many years working in Germany among exclusenly whites and we always had very strict dress codes.  My husband is from Japan, same there.

Even though students may not like it, Tuskegee U is doing these kids a huge favor.

You are absolutely correct.  You people please pay attention.

The university realized students don't have home directions for success. They realized besides education they have to teach proper behavior.

If you want to be employed at professional places, you need to dress according to your EMPLOYER'S standards.  It's not complex.

My first couple decades at IBM, it was a suit, a white shirt and a tie every day.  Even though I never saw customers.  Because that was the STANDARD.

My final years when they finally calmed down on all that, I just dressed the way I dress on a day off.  Jeans, tennis shoes, a t-short, and if it's cool to cold, a flannel shirt and maybe a hoodie to keep warm.  Didn't matter re my performance (though not buying expensive clothes helped on the expense front).

If you don't care  about being successful, including graduating from a decent college -- then ignore the  dress codes.  You  have to decide what actually matters to you.

They are followers they are not leaders

I hope you get my "likes" because you and your "guest" are just speaking common sense. I am a Senior who "came up" with "dress codes" at school, at my part- and full-time jobs, and at church. I think it is great that you should have the right to wear what you want on your time, but most of my days/some nights were spent in some "public space" that required my appearance to be respectful. And looking like you just crawled out of bed in a public place is NOT respectful. It also says a lot about how you feel about yourself; are you worth the time it takes to look presentable?

you guys are on the right track good luck.

Regardless of who you are or are not, and what you are or are not everyone needs to put their best foot forward.

When I was growing up, we all learned proper behavior at home. These days, I see videos showing badly dressed, misbehaving people being defensive when they are criticized for unprofessional dress, rude behavior, and bad diction. The point of criticism is to help them be better so that more doors are open to them. Dressing and/or behaving that way and then being angry that no one is hiring you shows that what you're doing isn't working. BTW, when I was a young teen, my parents divorced, but nothing changed at home in terms of stability. Mother was as firm in her discipline and watchfulness as ever. Dad was available at all the times.

The brother isn’t lying. My woman and I converse about this subject all the time.
