Evans was the most most consistant all season. well done to him. Great guy and deserved winner for me, also massive feels for solberg but he will come back and have his time for sure.

To finish first, first you have to finish! Unfortunate for Solberg but again he was pushing too hard and paid the price for it as we’ve seen many times this year. I've been a Solberg fan for like 30 years. My 2003 Subaru WRT team cap is one of my most prized possessions.

That said Elfyn and Scotty deserve to be Champions and are one of my favorite crews.

I'm both heartbroken and happy.

Hey man, I just want to say that I really appreciate your content. You are passionate and positive, and I think that is very much in line with rallying culture and how it should be. Also, you are bringing great insights. This rally was an end of an era and I'm glad that I found your channel during this season, it's nice to tune in after rallys, especially after one as intense as this one.

What to say of the rally. Wow. So many drivers that gave everything. Solberg of course but both Neuville and Fourmaux did insane feats!

It feels kind of empty now that this season is finished and this era comes to an end. Hoping for a great new start for wrc from next year onward.

Now that was great.no one could predict that. Well done Evan’s but well done Oliver flat out great that’s what rally fans want.

I haven't been watching rallying closely for years and I pulled an all nighter this time to watch this championship fight, it was totally worth it. I haven't felt such a roller coaster of emotion in motorsport in such a long time. Petter Solberg was my favorite rally driver because of how passionate he is and wearing his emotions on his sleeves, and it's the same with Oliver. One thing I love about rallying is despite the dramas, there is respect between competitors and less toxicity compared to circus racing.

It's too bad WRC doesn't do a better job marketing their product, because I thought the coverage was pretty good in the context how difficult it is to cover a rally. I'm seriously considering paying for the full season subscription next year. I do think Group A was the most diverse era of WRC and now they're going back closer to production based cars from what I understand which I think is a good thing.

Without the sunday points ,but including power stage points Solberg had no chance at all: Pajari 215p, Elfyn 207, Solberg 191p. Not saying Pajari should have won the championship, but when u destroy ur car 5 times and make at least 5 big mistakes on top of that but u don’t get a puncture from those or hit a tree, you really do not deserve anything. Add to that the fact that Elfyn has been cleaning the road for 10 races this year, the result is incredible. For those who want to argue that Solberg ”deserved” it because he had the most stage wins, he has been starting mostly from top 3-6 so thats a totally different game cause he has basically had a very good chance of winning every stage since Safari compared to Elfyn starting 1st on the road.

The 2 most consistant drivers of the year were Elfyn and Sami. Solberg should take 5% off the driving to become more consistant (also take 50% off the ”swag”, show and fake laughter to be more likeable), Sami needs to put 5%-10% more in his risk levels and see if he can keep it on the road then. Elfyn is too old to really change anything anymore but this strategy and calmness have always been his biggest strenghts. It is also a miracle how few punctures solberg got during the season compared to any other driver with that kind of driving style so it could have been much worse for him than second in the championship. Solberg will win the championship anyway soon so its not that dramatic. He might even have an advantage against the rest because the WRC27 cars are so close to Rally 2 cars which he has the best and latest experience from.

I like the sunday points because it adds some excitement to the day and drivers aren’t just passing through and saving tyres for the power stage. At the same time, I hate and have hated the sunday point system since the beginning cause it allows drivers who are taking part via super rally to collect up to 10 points even if they fucked it up earlier in the weekend. Maybe the change should be that if u are driving with super rally, you are only aloud to drive for power stage points. It feels unfair towards drivers who have made it through the whole weekend without crashing. It is ridiculous imo tha someone who is 5th in the rally gets the same amount of points that someone who is 40th some times.

Oliver comes too hot, maybe for a  fraction of second he thought ,its done I got this, and lost little bit of concentration.  Simple mistake,too fast into those sequence of turns. Physics did the rest. He came so fast into that first corner, then after trying to keep the front on ruts, the momentum of the correction just threw the rear off.

Generally i really dont care who wins, im not like some super fan of x y or z crews .. i just want to have as many people in the battle and it to be as close as possible and thats how i have mostly operated for the last 25+ years, but i really did want Elfyn to win this time around and im glad it finally happened. Who knows how many rallies they still have in them, Oliver has a shitton to come though!
And there is nothing controversial about what you said about Elfyn deserving it.
