I’ve never felt so weak and poverty stricken till I played Cold War and BO6

I become homeless when i rebuy my perks

as a die hard zombies fan it literally kills me that the reason we have lost such a fundamental and important feature is because little Timmy got butthurt when someone told him he wasnt playing the game right. timmys brother is a dev treyarch and changed it because of that

When the new points system was first introduced, I didn't mind it. However, when I realized how bad it was when I got down and had to buy all my perks.

i remember reading a tweet from kevin drew, his reason for changing the point system was his brother got yelled at in a public match for killing zombies the wrong way

Treyarch will never fix the new  point system because of Kevin Drew’s brother

The problem with bo6 and Cold War is that there are so many small changes that all effect the game flow and when you add it all up you get a big mess of useless features such as the mystery box and wall weapons.

Well said. The new point system really hurts replayability especially in low rounds. I used to line up multiple zombies on low rounds and shoot them with the pistol so I'd get 30 points per shot and save up ammo while minmaxing points. Can't do that anymore

Bruh why didn’t bo4 and beyond just implement ww2’s system. It literally fixes the only issue with the old point system

In BO4, the "damage based" point system is based on the percentage of health taken. 90 points is 100%, and the minimum points you can earn is 10, so every 11,11% of damage that you do grants you 10 points, or you can think of it as every 10% of damage gets you 9 points, but you only earn in 10 multiples, and get the rest of the points when you keep achieving 10 points worth of damage.

Think of it as steps, if you go 3,5 steps, you have completed just 3 steps, and you get that 0.5 step reward (10 points) onnce you reach the 4th step.

So for example, if you hit a zombie with one bullet an take 50% of its health, you would receive 40 points, as 50% would mean 45 points, but you only get at multiples of 10. It is simpler than it seems when explained. If you hit a zombie for 90%, you get 80, as 90% would mean 81 points. 40%? would mean 36, so you get 30 (you don't lose those 6 from 36-30, you just get them when you get to the next 10 points worth of damage let's say). Plus the bonos for headshots and meele kills of course.

Still I believe the old is better as you could get into the situation where in bo6 and subsequent games, you can't earn points, just knifing and trying that way lol.

The box is pointless and every weapon is just "pretty good", it's  more fun when a game is unbalanced with good and bad weapons. And the old point system wasn't too complicated but it added a mental aspect beyond "shoot to kill" that could be really fun and addictive

To be fair I think if shotguns have a lot of killing power, it's okay that they aren't the point weapons, the thunder gun in bo1 didn't give you really any points and I might be wrong but I feel like it was literally 10 points a kill, and everyone still used it. My point is it doesn't have to be a point gun to have a useful place

Zombies has become a camo and level grind mode now.

I was going to make this exact video, but this is perfect and now I don't have to. Good job.

One thing that helped me was actually upgrading and using the knife with the melle macchiato perk. Saves ammo and if its packed and upgraded does absolutely insane damage while also having a element. Dont sleep on the knife save ammo, save points!

Especially in the way this game milks your money harder than a fat cow

it's a loop of making 2500 points to then buy upgraded ammo just to make 3000, and then buying 2500 in ammo.

I'll just repeat what I said on your Point System post.

The classic Point System was simple but effective.

I hate how sometimes its actually more beneficial to bleed out and respawn with a better gun now and more points and salvage

The biggest thing for me is that no matter what there’s a limit to how much points you can get in a round you can get lucky with a double points but besides that or gobbles all you can do is get all headshots and that’s your cap. Zombies is supposed to be a sandbox with no limits. This game is amazing but the points system holds back so much. Love the vids CJ
