I love Prince Philip’s wink to Diana at the beginning of the clip 😉😍

the look on Charles'  face as Diana speaks is hilarious 🤣

Perhaps it’s a credit to Josh O’Conner as an actor, but I find myself wishing I could strike him in every scene in which he depicts King Charles.

Even if Charles didn’t love diana ; no justification for his continuous emotional abuse of her he is not a victim he chose to be king to be with diana he proposed to her
He is a grown up adult ;he could have acted as brave man
Despite any image of prince harry , he was brave and chose his wife and family and left everything behind to be with her

The thing's that diana always loved charles but he  never....whatever he realized about her was literally after her death.

She played that masterfully. She would never allow Charles to be with Camilla. She skillfully silenced any reasoned argument Charles had planned on making to his parents. Slay!

People need to remember that this is nothing more than a script written by others. Nobody knows what was said or even if such a meeting took place. So let's keep it real.

People said that Diana wasn’t very intelligent. Maybe she wasn’t book smart, but she had an extremely high emotional IQ. I do believe that she wanted to stay married to Charles and said what she did to ensure that would happen, pushing Charles’ separation/divorce plans out of the way. Brilliant!☺️

He was so cruel to her and even after 2 boys, I cant imagine what a monster he could of Been if she would of just given her girls. 😢 Lady D, or Diana deserved better. 😢

What about Charles breaking his vows!

Charles had a speech written lol.

Diana knew that he never loved her but she still wanted to stay in pain with him. I don’t know why . And the fact Charles parent didn’t want to let him speak prove how they never care about their son feeling about this arrange marriage he never wanted

The Queen arranged this loveless marriage... pitting them both against one another... She could not expect Diana to accept Charles' infidelity of the heart and otherwise. Just to accept the loveless marriage.

It’s a shame that people never had the chance to live the life they truly wanted.

Charles was very clear he dint wanted the relation that's why he came along with the divorce paper...Because he knew he don't love her and things are not what he thought would be( they couldn't be friends).
He just wanted her to be there for his kids as mother/future queen and for the UK people. (a job offer, she fits well)

So then, should Charles apologize for his part in it as well? to keep respect for the crown and sanctity of marriage.

I believe that Diana really wanted the marriage to work. But she did not know how to be a good wife (Her parents and step-mother
were terrible role models!)  She also (most likely) had mental health issues with her bulimia being a symptom.

Charles never really loved Diana. Maybe for a short time he had been infatuated or "in love"/"in lust" with her.  Had he truly loved Diana
he would have terminated the "friendship" with Camilla.  Keeping contact with one's former lover is not the way to clear your mind for
a new love.

Diana wanted a man who was head over heels in love with her.  I can not blame her!  She was young and still believed in romance
She probably had also read too many of her step-grandmother's (i.e. Barbara Cartland) novels. She was not Charles' educational
equal (but nor was Camilla).

Charles wasn't that old.  But he was a bit of an old soul. He was also very set in his ways.  She wasn't "old'  like Charles.
He was willing to "settle" to appease his family.  What he did to Diana was horrible!

Masterfully framed question..

HM did Diana dirty.

I don't understand, if she was sooo unhappy then why she wanted to continue with the marriage!?!? If this scene is depicted from an actual event then I must say she wasn't innocent at all. She played a trick here the moment she realised Charles's intention. The queen was also ready to release both of them from the marriage.
