Everytime Mother Gothel praised and caressed Rapunzel, it was always her hair that she's focused on, but when Eugene did the same, he always pushes her hair out from her face ❤

You know the reason why she turns into dust is because she wouldn't be alive if she never found the golden flower

I think what Eugene meant about Rapunzel dying is that maybe she won't die, but her spirit and soul will, and that isn't something Eugene wants to know would happen, even if he is at his last moments

34:48 She actually doesnt care about her hair that was the whole point. Mother gothel was the only one who cared thats why its gone now

My man is lowkey dying, you think he's gonna become a pro barber and cut her hair stylish DX. Also they didn't keep Flynn dead because in the OG fairytale the "Prince" was blind by thorns, and Rapunzel's tears healed his eyes. Similiar to this, her tears healed him

Fun Theory: What if the mirror breaking after Rapunzel diacovered the truth was about Mother Gothel not keeping appearances anymore and showing her true twisted self?

37:20 it’s actually both. Disney released Tangled before ever after in 2017 and then tangled the series a little while after that. The series gives us some Gothel lore, more of Eugene and Rapunzel’s relationship, and expands the Tangled world to more than just the kingdom.

Not Rukiya only focusing on the fact Rapanzel doesn't have shoes 😂

12:47 " she can do no wrong in my eyes"

Cut to the series where we found out she abandoned her daughter, who she detested, for rapunzel

@Mikuishere-qt1zn 1 year ago

why are people so mad at him cutting her hair? Someone made a really good point that since he cut her hair she wouldn't be used as some immortality tool and plus he was DYING his time was running out so how would he be able to cut it longer?

Mother Gothel is one of the coolest Disney villains. You made the right choice, Rukiya.

I love the little detail that in the "I see the Light" song, the lantern that Rapunzel lifts to the sky is actually the same lantern her parents set loose in the beginning of the song, showing that thier lantern did reach thier daughter as they always hoped.

35:45 he was dying we have all been over this he used his last breaths and strength for that haircut

13:00 I know gothel never really loved rapunzel but she lowkey did a lot to keep her happy for obvious reasons

I can understand why some people are upset about the hair length but there are a few reasons for it (that I'm aware of, there is probably more):
1. Unlike Mother Gothel, Eugene never cared about Rapunzel's hair. He loved her because of who she is, not what her hair could do.
2. It's a literal and metaphorical weight lifted off her shoulders. Metaphorical in the sense of the hair being like golden chains as before the events of the movie she seemed to be doing ok. Maybe a little bored but she was fed, sheltered, and was "loved". She mistook protection for imprisonment. It's also a literal weight lifted cause you can't tell me that hair wasn't heavy.

34:56 the short hair meant that Flynn loved her for who she is not for her hair like her mother, which is such a beautiful detail soo thoughtful🙈🙇🏽‍♀️
