Live Porcupine Tree is always a welcome sight! Thanks for continuing to support this band. This song is so fitting for this day and age. The way popular music is created and disseminated today is  described here in perfect detail. Thanks for the reaction!

It does my heart good to watch you discover PT live and from the Studio. Its genuinely uplifting. Please continue your exploration. You clearly DO care about music and your spotlight on this brilliant band helps to keep  good music alive.

PT IS one of those wonders of the world. 🤘🇬🇧🤘

Gavin Harrison came from a jazz background, hence all the improvising during the song. And that's a big reason I love his drumming. Unlike other bands that play their studio versions note-for-note on a live stage, Gavin does his own thing and does it so, so well.....

Prophetic and majestic....

this channel has gotten me more into this band thank you for that

Some of my favourite drumming from Gav on this track. Fantastic stuff.

It’s amazing to me just how good Steven’s and John’s live vocals are.  They blend together so well.  Please continue with more Porcupine Tree..  live and studio.

You're correct Angelica, the way they layer the song and the off-beat drumming then reaching a peak before everything goes silent, brilliant.

It's one of Gavin's best grooves too.

Now that's a real good band.

One of the songs that made me fall in live with PT!

Elevator Prosac stretching on for miles.

Muzak is a trademarked brand name for recorded, uninterrupted background music played quietly in public spaces like stores, offices, and waiting rooms, and has also become a generic term for any bland or unobtrusive audio.

My favourite PT track....its musak.

Porcupine Tree is working on a new album right now. :)

Steven's arrangement chops are brilliant aren't they.  And like you, Steven's dissing of his own lead guitar playing is something that we fans can ignore because we know just what he can put into it.  In amongst all the wonderful musical points that this iteration of the band have is the harmony singing between Steven and John Wesley.
I'm so glad that John And Colin have formed their own spin off PT band, Voyage 35 playing the earlier PT back catalogue.  And it's good that it has Steven's blessing too.

Love this band! Gavin Harrison is amazing on drums! Highly skilled!

I love it too when a guitarist beats the heck out of a note during a solo.

I was going to say exactly the same thing about withholding the bass until the right moments giving it a much greater impact... and also that I didn't notice it so much until seeing it live. They did something similar in Anesthetize. It's Steven's great strength that he knows exactly when to hold back and when to go for it.
