I had an idea for this video, one I did eventually carry out, but that won't be until the next video in this series, which I will aim to get out on Tuesday. In the mean time, watch as I get get plagued with Pink Soup and nearly rip my hair out.

If you have any suggestions as for how I can get through this problem, I would really appreciate it. I've tried to apply the 4GB Patch in everyway; applying via the desktop, running it as administrator, and nothing has worked. Prior to uploading this video, I even tried the DXVK method, but all that served to do was make my game crash on start-up. I play on the disc versions of this game, which may be why none of these fixes are working, but if you're a fellow disc player and know of any advice, I'd greatly appreciate it. I just want to enjoy my game.

UPDATE: Good news, I loaded the Oldie household on a whim just before I went to bed, and I had no pink soup! The only thing I did was create a system task that clears the Standby Memory every five minutes; I think it's called the Memory Allocation Fix, I'm not sure. Either way, I don't know if it was that that fixed it, or just the household returning from a community lot... my game confuses me sometimes.

DISCLAIMER! (added on 12/11/2023): This is a series where I continue with the experiments I began in Plague Town back in 2020. The aim was to see if I could corrupt a neighbourhood and experience the symptoms of corruption firsthand.

What this series and experiment has taught me is that The Sims 2 takes a lot of effort to corrupt, and corruption itself is quite rare. That combined with the recent revelations that a lot of the stuff I did in this series doesn't cause corruption anyway (except for what I did in the first episode where I deleted a sim outside of the game using SimPE... that can cause issues) has turned this series into less of trying to trigger neighbourhood corruption and of more having fun with the game and seeing what glitches can be done.

I'm keeping the series name the same for consistency and because corruption can also refer to trying the "break the game with funny bugs," which is what this series is at its core.
