Preston Moore barrel testing has killed any interest I ever had in LMT products

3” for a duty AR/AK with ball is perfectly acceptable. 3” with match out of a precision system is atrocious.

Shoutout Preston Moore and LMT consistently putting out unserious results

Henry kicking his feet up @ 14:00 while Josh is yapping about the barrel quality idk something about that is just so funny

Probably the best advertisement for D. Wilson I've ever seen.😂

Not a horrible grouping... for a budget/middle of the road 308. Terrible for the LMT price. Super fair review. Thank you!

One of the most common fixes I hear about for LMT rifles is to buy a Criterion barrel and convert it to LMT's barrel extension system.

1.5 to 2 MOA, $4000+.  Nah.

I think this perfectly highlights the gap between the perception of accuracy and what accuracy actually means in practice.

LMT once again proved that you can’t blindly trust even top-tier U.S. firearms manufacturers — loose screws on a premium rifle is still unacceptable. But at the same time, despite paper accuracy that would probably horrify modern shooters raised on YouTube “sub-MOA or trash” culture, the rifle still completed the course flawlessly without a single malfunction.

So what matters more in the real world: tiny groups on paper, or a rifle that simply keeps running and hitting when it counts? Rifle is still fine?

This is why I buy the LMT chassis and 3rd party barrels.

I bet Josh is secretly gloating when he remembers buying all those Geissele 5.56 chrome lined uppers. I know I am.

LMT has fallen very far in my estimation.  Clever concept, dicy execution

This is a shame. I have an early 308 LMT rifle and it shoots lights out. It seems to me LMT started declining around COVID right after their move to Iowa from Illinois.

When a 417 or SCAR is cheaper, mediocre doesn't cut it.  I'm very glad I put a chrome lined barrel in my 223 LMT instead of the stainless steel.

learned machining today. I think that might describe the barrel consistency

Have only used their 5.56 products. First MRP upper had the gas tube bushing misaligned causing the gas tube to impact the carrier. Several months later got the upper back, similarly the barrel screws were barely tight. Upper never shot better than 4 or 5 moa. Sold it and moved on. Years later I bought one of their enhanced BCGs. In a weapon that had no issues before, the Enhanced Bolt began to stretch around the cam pin hole to the point of cracking with a very sloppy fit. Never bought LMT again after that.

I would also not appreciate my rifle only shooting one loading very well, especially if it was a light for caliber loading. And even more especially at that price point.

I almost went the LMT route, but i'm glad i went G$ MRGG-S instead after watching this.

Miles Neville sounds like a British explorer.
