If this guy was in any piece of fiction people would complain that he's poorly written

The CEO wants to add a dating app to the site, they are 100% running their business model with predators in mind.

"What if instead of taking candy from the baby I could convince the baby to sell it to me on a subprime loan" is genuinely in my running for funniest things Pat has ever said that was so fucking good.

@theotherjared9824 10 months ago

The CEO enthusiastically agreed with ideas the interviewers said as a joke because they were cartoonishly evil. Even after the interviewers clarified this, the CEO still tried to convince them they were actually genius for coming up with them.

Please, please, please, please let somebody use this in court against them.

"Dude, ADULTS don't have money! What money do kids have?!"
"IT'S AN OPPORTUNITY, PAT!!!"

Three sentences that perfectly sums up the depravity of the modern day

Reality is Unrealistic is my favorite trope. There's no such thing as a strawman. Someone out there genuinely holds such a view.

His human mask fell on the first question and the rest of the interview was him licking his eyes, shedding his skin and swallowing ostrich eggs live on camera

@TheRogueWolf 10 months ago

This guy basically started off the interview by saying "Hi, I'm Bob Psychopath". All he can see are ways to make money, and he can't imagine anything else having any value.

The perfect CEO.

"Okay but wouldn't yo-"
"Is this secretly a stealth interview where you actually agree with everything we're doing and you love it? High five!"

Made my skin crawl in the worst way possible.

Have you ever driven by a house fire and wondered how could this benefit me?

Remember around 2000 when all Catholic priests were stereotyped as pedophiles?
In this generation, we need all billionaires to be stereotyped the same way. When you see a rich character in a parody show, the audience should roll their eyes and think "here comes an Epstein Files joke", because that should be the first thing we think of. The level of moral bankruptcy required to get rich inevitably leads to this.

The absolute Best Part is that these sorts of CEO/management-types think you're the space alien for thinking their ideas are fundamentally monstrous. The absolute Worst Part is that nothing will come of this. There should be consequences for saying this aloud, but there won't be. I don't know who or what is ultimately behind Roblox, but they have so far demonstrated a level of political and economic power such that no one gives too much of a sh!t about what Roblox or its parent company does beyond basic lip service.

In a few years we'll have people asking about the Roblox list.

Smash Announcer: “Luigi!”

Watching the Roblox CEO in that interview is like watching someone playing Baldur's Gate 3 and seeing them IMMEDIATELY going Dark Urge in all decisions.

You know they've been talking about this for decades, and nothing protects children from predators better than a robust loving relationship with a Parent/Guardian. Where they learn to set boundaries and know they have safe people to turn to if they start feeling unsafe. We live in a society that generally protects abusers and predators and that needs to be addressed at broad national levels, but right now the best defense is just communicating with your kids.

@RagingWolftheGamer 10 months ago

Reading that interview was crazy because you’d think he’d just do the corpo speak “We take child safety very seriously and are committed to keeping our users safe” but no, he chose literally the worst responses you possibly could

@NoxNightingale 10 months ago

If we were a just society, we wouldn’t need to put that CEO in a courtroom. Everyone would hear his response to the problem, and they’d know what we need to do.
The CEOs of today run to the courts to hide behind them, rather than be confronted by them.
