Amazing work I like how you found a nice method at the end of heating the tweezers! Thanks for the shoutout 😎

Repair damaged DDR5 Ram in 2026 and become a billionaire in mere months.

Remember to test them with 2 sticks of RAM to make sure the memory controller is working correctly

Repinning a CPU is nuts. I've never even considered attempting that, but after watching this I feel a little brave.

CPU #5 is now a bunch of free pins

for those with missing pins, you could check out their pin diagrams to confirm if those missing pins are actually important, most pin on a cpu are usually ground and are there for redundency

Bro was born for soldering CPU pins. Perfect work for a first timer!

Go to the store and buy yourself a Pentel Mechanical Pencil 0.5mm. Remove the graphite from the pencil. Place the hollow shaft over the bent pin and adjust as needed.  I keep a second pencil just for soldering the pins in "its all metal". You may want a 0.7mm and a 0.9mm mechanical pencil as well, as sometimes the pins are really bent up and you need a bit more wiggle room to wrangle them. PIck up some reballing solder balls to go with your mask.

22:02 You can feel the absolute confidence just nailing down those pins 😆

When I saw the sticky notes come out and you write "Needs 3 pins" I was thinking, okay this chump is going to shelve these forever because no fkn way he'll be able to solder these pins back on, especially after watching the first attempt. But, I apologize dude, you fkn killed it. Mad props for being able to fix these. Cool ass video.

You legit went from not knowing how to solder pins to a pro in minutes. Incredible!

You do need to also test the:
1. All Memory slots (i.e. fill all modules and do a full write and read for full memory capacity at least once)
2. All PCIe slots
3. The rest of IO that's connected directly to CPU (rather then chipset)

I'd also recommend hot air station instead of soldering iron for this, while at worst case it can me disastrous if not used properly, but if used at least adequately - i.e. on low air speed, you can just pick and place these pins with a tiny touch of flux and solder

And lastly, solering that pin at 20:00 is definitively an achievement! Holding any tiny component is borderline impossible task

just  dont forget to test the cpu  with two ram channes active - maybe theres a bad ramcontroller that has a degraded memeory controller or a dead channel

7:39 i personally shit myself when i buy broken parts for flips and i see nothing obviously wrong 💀💀

22:40 why am I smiling as if I just fixed them? Hahah I'm happy for ya bro. This video was a real treat

Me trying to find $10 5600X with bent pins but only finding them for $70 + shipping: :cat-orange-whistling:

Might want to check if all memory channels still work on these.

3:04 🎶 ”Unbend my pins, say you’ll load me a game, undo this hurt that you caused when you fell on the floor…”

Youtube randomly recommended this video. Really good work! I've seen others fix pins but they use hot air. Cool to see its possible with classic soldering as well

You are so good and I'll probably never get to the level of fixing you do but the amount of shaking during the pin fixing is sending me
