Howdy Folks! This is my Review of The French Individual Reheatable Combat Ration (“Ration de Combat Individuelle Rechauffable” or RCIR)! A few months ago one of my subscribers sent me an FIR Combat Ration to review. Given that this was a very special gift, I wanted to wait until I could review it in a very special place. So after a long wait, I was finally able to escape to my Secret Fun Spot to film my review.

Basic Info:
French Armed Forces RCIR 24-HOUR combat ration pack MRE.
Please note - one box includes 3 meals (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner).
France uses a ration called the “Ration de Combat Individuelle Rechauffable” (Combat Ration Individual Reheatable), or RCIR.
A single ration contains 3600 calories and is intended to provide the nutritional needs for one soldier for one day
Folding stove included in each RCIR. Also included are 6 Esbit fuel tablets and matches
Genuine Authentic MRE from France
Individually boxed, Rare Deluxe Ration Packs, Very Tasty!

Nice review. I'm French, and a surplus store near me sells lots of army rations, and I love them.

Just like the French to give troops something special to eat. Thanks for sharing. I noticed that you ate it all. I couldn’t have eaten that much food. Blessings.

I agree with you when it comes to banana. I think its ridiculously redundant (borderline stupid) that anyone would add artificial flavor to something that already has real banana!

Really really enjoyed this review as always. Loved the framing of the many shots and loved hearing the return of spring to the woods. Of greatest interest to me was the number of items, as you stated looked like they could be purchased in a store and the number of items that were canned gave me greater confidence in the components of the meals I've put together. Thank you as always.!

for the dark chocolate, it's the good texture for that type of chocolate, if it's less hard, it's chocolate with milk or with chemicals products to make it soother. It's seems that for the soup, you don't put enough water and too much water for the coffee. In France, our coffee has taste not as the italian but quite. We don't like what we called "eau de vaisselle" (dish water)

HIGHLY INTERESTING! I LIKE the real field experience to be fueled by activity. The French have at least TWO styles of pate: a coarse 'country' pate and the liver-dominated foie gras. You had examples of both in that ration pack. Were I young enough, meal No. 12 might have driven me to enlist! Next time, I imagine you would have done what many do: use double coffee packets to produce an American-size cup. You still would have plenty of flavor packets for hot drinks in THAT ration!

Now that looked like something I would be interested in maybe trying out, I do have to say that lunch meal made my mouth water a wee bit lol. Nice find and GreAT review John!!
