For reference if you pre-ordered a Bellerophon when it was announced and also that night decided to start trying for a baby, the child would be over 4 years old and in reception at this point...

32:31  That’s definitely AI, the flowery language, the excessive use of em-dashes and the weird hallucinations about the van interior. They’re praying on older enthusiasts who might not be able to tell. And has weirdly no spelling mistakes compared to the rest of their “marketing”

Hi, American here... I had never heard of KR Models and don't even know anything really about British trains, but a topic about KR Models appeared on one of our message boards, and I have been reading up on it a lot lately...

Obviously the discussion eventually came to reference your YouTube channel, especially because Keith goes out of his way to pin a lot of the blame on "one specific influencer in particular" in the official email... I just have to say, that whole email from them is the most narcissistic whiny thing I have ever read... No accountability for their bad decisions or bad business practices, no apologies for letting customers down, no none of that... It's a pathetic blame fest, tossing it here, there, this channel, anywhere but on their own shoulders where it belongs...

I watched enough of your videos, and I definitely feel you're just doing what reviewers do, which is give honest reviews... Keith, on the other hand, sounds like a whiny narcissist who refuses to own up to his own failures... I won't say he deserves what he got, and a company going belly-up is never good news, but it was inevitable...

Keep up the good work 👍

Martin Mart Martinson should buy them out like Accurascale did with Heljan.

Timing of this video could be very apt Sam. Both the KR Models website and Facebook page have disappeared over the last 48hrs...

Something tells me this is not a paid promotion.

This is one of the reasons why I enjoy your reviews.

Without naming anyone, certain reviewers tend to give every model a thumbs up unless it’s disintegrating in their hands…

Thanks for using the word "plethora" in this video... It means a lot 😉

Feeling kinda bad for saying this, but I've not been this excited to watch a video from Sam for a long time. 😆

As a Mechanical designer and having designed car parts, mobile phones etc...I can tell you now. ANYTHING over 18 months development/design cycle is VERY wrong. Nothing, let alone a,model train should take that long.

And then for details to be wrong and poor quality...bye bye KR models.

Negativity is something we all deal with on a daily business. Just nice to see a summary done so well with proof and all done without swearing once..........that alone is worth a GOLD Star!

this is how Lionel operates in the US for O scale. Acceptance of this is why o scale locomotives tripled in price from around $800 to $2500

Wait a minute... this isn't CinemaSins.....

I've never bought anything from them and yet still had a second-hand negative experience. KR were giving somebody the run-around when they wanted to return a dodgy model and I informed the victim of all the ways that KR's warranty and returns policies were invalid under UK distance-selling regulations.
Once they mentioned their legal rights suddenly somehow KR were able to accommodate them....

I remember when you reviewed the GT3. At the time, I thought we were in for a great model company.

Great video, Sam! I remember they came to the Railroad Hobby Show in Springfield, MA back in 2023. Being a 00 scale modeler in the US i was excited to be able to meet them and Hattons that year as well. The Hattons team were very warm and friendly and I had spent a while talking to them. KR Models on the other hand were the opposite. I had asked a few questions about the GT3 and the Shay, and Keith was very short with his answers. Not to mention he was giving sarcastic answers and not responding well to being asked questions about his models. The company seems to have taken a nosedive ever since the GT3 had come out so I was always weary on paying for models upfront without seeing any deliverables. I studied business and marketing in college and I knew something was up with them. Sassy comments when talking with them, horribly assembled models, loads of issues with accuracy, dreadful email newsletter, lies in marketing, and wait times between announcement and delivery were too long. Not a good business. Now the site and the webpage have been taken down since your video dropped. Something seems a little shady about that. Anyway, thanks for posting, Sam!

KR Models: "we're like heljan, but more childish ❤"

It’s a shame because I want Bellerophon and Big Bertha as they’re really interesting prototypes, but given KR Models track record, I don’t know, I really don’t know…

A business which requires full upfront pre-order payment does not have sufficient working capital to operate. This sort of business is always on the borderline between legitimacy and a scam. If KR Models were in another industry, say motor vehicles or household appliances the relevant consumer protection agencies would have investigated. Model train buyers seem to me to be extremely tolerant or very naive. Well done, Sam for this vid.

I remember many years ago replying to a KR Models Facebook post where they were asking for suggestions for future models. I suggested the Class 465/466 EMUs and Keith's dismissive reply was that it was very niche... well fast forwards several years and they announce the 4DD EMU, talk about a double slap to the face.
