Maybe they’d have sold more if it had the Beatles on it…

Boy that Class 28 is determined to haunt Sam for the rest of his days 😂

I think it is because it is the parcel version. The passenger version is much more attractive.

The cost of living has drastically cut what I can afford, there are several locos I would like before I buy something like this. But it does look great

😥😥Aw! I wanted you to do the Bachmann Rusty unboxing and review on Wednesday next week by making your wish come true! Thanks for watching!

Hornby are really making the most of that old Lima tooling.

I think people sadly just don’t like old rail cars as much

On a serious note Hornby are to be congratulated for producing something affordable for a change .

First you got to model Era 3, second you got to model the GWR region, so that the model base for it is small.
Just guessing people are doing the era they grew up in (70-80 me), or today's railway.
But yes great price and lovely model.👍🏻

I got this model when Hornby first released her in 2024 or so. Very sad to see that they haven’t sold well. Such a unique and gorgeous loco, one of my favourites in my little collection🥺

I got one of these in a half-price sale. It's a wonderful model and I love running it around my layout when I don't want to bother with setting up a full rake of wagons/carriages.

Wow, this is not a bad looking model with a great price. Excellent review 👍👍

BTW. Thanks Sam. Just received my L&Y tank wagon. Excellent...

We need some sound DCC reviews

Damn Hornby has been cooking with these past releases😂 cheers from Illinois!

Nice Review, thanks Simbo.

I love the GWR railcars
Edit: someone at Hornby paid attention because this has the accurate Swindon ends. Early cad models had the earlier Park Royal (rounded) ends

It looks really great. perhaps though time has moved on and those of us old men running southern or Great Western 1950s branch lines are slowly dying off.  I love it personally, and can see it hooked up to a couple of milk tank wagons with a GWr autotrain coming the other way

I had the original lima model which had rather ugly large d link couplings. Since it was rarely 20:20  attached to another vehicle, I remove these and it improved the appearance. The motor was very crude it was the old pancake motor. Nevertheless, the model performed perfectly well it was one of my favourite models sadly I have had to dispose of my railway through sight issues. I think these vehicles were wonderful.

Probably called a railcar as it's not a DMU as it's not joined to another unit.I went on a passenger version of one of those at the Didcot Steam Centre a few years ago.
