Giving her $600 but still making her pay taxes on $600,000...That's important too. Not untraceable.

"I did it for us"
oh, yeah.  inviting federal charges was a great thing to do.

If Richard was doing wire fraud this enthusiastically, he's probably been stealing from the company all along.

The instant an NDA is mentioned triple the cash offer. The NDA is always what they care about most so make getting one HURT.

I think OP should have let the rest of the office know about the stolen bonus...and that they could get the same treatment.

Not to mention the employee pays the taxes on the 600,000.00 dollars not the 600.00 dollars.

"Off the books accounting" sounds illegal as hell. But not only that, the fact that somehow the paperwork that ended up with the OP had the correct number in it means they were careless and were going to get caught.

"It's untraceable" as they give her a paystub with 600,000 on it.

So the CEOs wife set the company up for major federal criminal charges & an IRS investigation about payroll fraud,  & then there's the CAO listening to the CEOs wife without checking with the CEO first to be sure that he'd OK this diversion of employement funds.  Is there more going on between the wife & the CAO? So is this the first time that Victoria has pulled this stunt?

Hands down one of the most satisfying revenge/corporate stories on this channel! The dialogue and narrative tension were top-tier from start to finish. Keep these high-quality stories coming!

No, thats not a glitch, thats THEFT.

This story makes absolutely no sense. Stealing from the company that your husband owns? And risking everything?

Sounds like Dominic was trying to do the right thing.  His wife and the finance director are the crooks.

The message Victoria sent is, at the least ,slander and should be persued as such.

That's not an insult, that is fraud.

Sue them for $10 million. The company and all individuals involved. OP will probably lose that much because her career could be destroyed by Victoria's lies.

I have read several versions of this situation, this was an excellent one.

FYI. The speed of the sound can be adjusted. Tap on the  upper right side of the screen. Tap settings, then sound speed and adjust. I changed this to 90% and it was better.

Victoria wasn't punished enough.   Their financial department too

They put the $600,000 bonus on her check that she has to pay taxes on, but only paid her $600.00 that won't even cover the taxes on that $600,000 amount, so she's thousands of dollars in the hole for something she never got! So add tax fraud on top of all of it!

Is Dominic or his wife the one who is fraudulently taking employees money.  Surely that is embezzlement and someone should be facing prosecution?  Your lawyer David should sue Victoria for "Defamation".
