If blizzard keeps this up, forever will be huge.

We got World of Warcraft: Tax Evasion before GTA 6

ziqo having full control of the IRS addon is hilarious

they are saying to make sure to communicate through in game chat. So... My guess is that they look through chat logs to see if the players communicated previously about the amounts.

This will be absolutely huge for wow f

They should add a way to flag mail/trades that include large sums of gold that then goes into a review process. Could help them run down gold sellers/buyers. For mail, they could then review the account and if they find no weird actions they can green light that mail item.

It's so sad that people sell and buy in-game currency 🤦

An old mate bought boosts all the time and the first time it was like a betrayal. Never thought of him the same after.

"Actions taken."
Looks inside: "Big streamers still wont get a ban."

They mentioned about doing deals in chat on the character first. Presumably saying 'hey let me send you X for repairs" will be sufficient

It's good that we're testing this in Beta.

14:30 I did the exact same thing Xaryu did with cornering the inscription market back in the day using TSM... but I barely raided, didn't play PVP, or really anything else in the game at that time, so I took my little monopoly a little further and cornered the jewelcrafting and alchemy market on the AH of my low-pop server.
I was spending 4-6 hours a day crafting and reposting things to the AH across multiple characters, I monitored the price fluctuation in all my raw materials so I knew what time of day and what day of the week to get the best prices so I could have the highest margins, good god it was a lot of fun to accomplish nothing but watching the number in TSM go up :D

I have high hopes, just dont let us down, Blizzard

one flaw with the addon, if the bot that makes the raw gold for selling, trades the gold, it says its 100% made by them

This makes me actually wanna play the game

Yeah. They need to add one of those confirmations to mail. I often just use an add-on like Postal to open all my auctions when I log in. It would suck to get banned because somebody sent you gold maliciously and you never even noticed because it was amongst ten successful auctions.

That addon only matters for streamers looking for free handouts.  No one is going to use it.

It's crazy that we have to resort to this type of stuff

The fact that people are buying gold in beta gets me, but good job Blizzard. They need to keep on these bots and those who support them.

isn't the obvious sidestep to this just buying the gold via the auction house? Blizz would need to comb through created auction history to see if you're just throwing up junk at ridiculous prices or listing items x amount above market rate to counteract it. A step in the right direction sure, but seems easy to workaround if Blizz isnt keeping an eye on that stuff

also guilds will just have guild farmers to buy from
