17:18 Karazhan was one of the most memorable raids, would def like to see it in Forever

14:17 Lichen is pronounced “like-en.” The ch is a soft k sound like in loch but as many ppl have noted it can be pronounced either way in the UK. For language nerds, the etymology is from the Greek leichēn (λειχήν) “to lick,” where the Greek letter chi (χ) was pronounced as a "k" sound.

10-15% is freaking crazy Sky. People won't bring specs that are that far behind. We already know this from years of wow, especially the whole run of classic.

On the crafting shield idea… we need craftable bows, staffs, shields, thrown weapons. We have everything else that falls under the weapon category.
Rings, necks and trinkets fall under jwc which we might get later on.

Blizzard should use "device/software bans", similar to FACEIT in Counter-Strike.
If someone is caught botting, ban the device too so they can’t just create a new account and continue.

1:37 A more substantial hybrid tax has been tried in the past. It didn’t work because you would never bring a hybrid if you had any other choice.

Are you going to bring a cat Druid over a mage or a rogue in a dungeon even if the damage was equal? Almost certainly not because polymorph > sap >>>> hibernate.

How many groups are going to take one if the damage is 15% less? Zero. Nobody will ever bring a kitty to anything.

We’ve been through this before in vanilla. We don’t need to revisit bad design.

TYVM Comeback Kids for the daily updates. It's a blast every morning (Oceanic) to wake up to a nice lively video summing things up. Keep it up.

Appreciate you. The hybrid tax sounds right until you actually look at the kits.

Every damage spec has holes and its own tools. Arms has Charge, a heal cut, and bleeds. Rogue has stealth and control. Ret has none of that. It gets plate, Freedom, Blessing of Protection, a long-cooldown bubble, and limited heals. You balance the damage to that kit. You do not hand Ret Arms damage and also super heals. You also do not cut the damage because it can Flash.

Same damage band, different holes. If the heal is the reason the damage spec hits like a wet noodle, there is no point in the spec. That is why Ret was a meme in Classic. The design was bad.

Great recap, you guys def have a talent with condensing the information.

Increase base exp from dungeons a bit and reduce the quest exp from them. Let it be second rate to open world questing, but still viable to farm. As it is we have to spend time gathering a team and running there. That should offset some of the time/benefit.

The blacksmithing shield thing crossed my mind the other day, also to an extent maybe some bows or crossbows for hunters? I know they can use engineering to make a gun sometimes but it's very rare

I feel like a “Dungeoneering” skill could help Dungeon exploration by creating a skill that levels up through dungeons so when you are exploring/helping others rather than being fixated on your lv 60 cap it could be used as a means to encourage doing dungeons by providing a buff for Dungeons in general and other buffs from repeating the same dungeon.

as someone that watched the "speed running classes| ep 2 you had a very accurate breakdown. your videos are well structered

@vondikaglinn 12 hours ago

If you are doing "lateral leveling" hero class makes sense. Deepening the role and maybe forcing the character to choose a direction, removing other builds as a possibility. Or even turning them on its head. Tanking with a two handed weapon as a warrior or doing DPS with a shield? Some sort of progress is a a must, but limiting it to gear is to me a very shallow thinking and is not going to be a very rewarding experience.

@holyblad3 10 hours ago

thanks for the video dude, good stuff

@brian2554 11 hours ago

The hybrid tax is a silly argument imo because realistically, the hybrids cannot dps and heal at the same time so this shouldn’t be taken as a detriment to them. If your healers are failing, your group will not be saved by a feral or ret and more often than something like a warrior in the group throwing on a shield and popping shield wall for the last 2% of a boss. It’s just not how it works in practice.

They should be treated based on their specs utility as a whole, not just because they can heal. Like look at how much utility a lock or mage brings that is often usable. Unlike an spriest

This is a CLEAR SIGN that Min/Maxers will need to play Retail if they want an Elite style gameplay. This tells me they're opening the door for CASUAL PLAY End Game.
