"He has convinced you that you can't operate without him, and I am convinced that the only way you will operate is without him." So many women in distress need to hear that advice.

@mmkeno 2 years ago

He’s 100% right. When you are under the influence of an abuser, you can’t see things clearly.

@ayshak6298 1 year ago

Imagine you've given birth, are 8 months post partum, being abused. Dave is a hero.

@6Minsto7Starbucks 1 year ago

People who haven't been in an abusive relationship dont understand how hard it is to get out of it. The shame, guilt and fear are overwhelming.

I don't care what anyone says about Dave, to take a distressed woman of domestic violence and guide her through this situation has earned my respect and I hope yours to!! He took the role of a man, a husband, a father, a leader and a man of God.

@tulipchic34 2 years ago

This is what abuse does. It makes you feel like nothing and doubt all your choices. I feel for this woman.

I’m a 911 dispatcher, and these domestic violence calls are not only the scariest calls I deal with, they are also the number one most dangerous calls to police officers. As much as I hate picking up those calls, I am also glad the victim is reaching out for help.

This was in my hometown and Tampa Police did a great job on getting him out.

“Medical debt from the birth of our son.”

It’s a sad world.

This wasn't Dave Ramsey, financial guru; this was papa Dave talking to a woman in trouble.

@christian1172-z9e 4 years ago

He actually knew to say, “You’re not the crazy one.” So impressed.

@TheGirlWithTheLighthouseTattoo 1 year ago

The way she finally broke down when he said "Youre not the crazy one."

To have someone believe you is all it takes... Its been 5 years since I got away from my ex and its wild to watch yourself become someone else... It took so long to find my way back to myself.

@AlphaJaxxx 1 year ago

The kicker for me was when he said they were gonna call law enforcement she IMMEDIATELY started apologizing over and over. She has been programmed by her abuser to always immediately apologize, basically assuming shes at fault. Tell tale abuser. I feel for her and her kid.

@Regi5kids 3 years ago

As a survivor of domestic abuse... I CAN'T SAY THANK YOU ENOUGH FOR WALKING HER THRU THIS! GOD BLESS YOU DAVE thank you.

@RizzKhalifaOG 5 years ago

She’s calling Dave, because she’s too scared to call the police..

@HorseLady1109 11 months ago

I was a 911 operator for 10 years. I have heard this kind of fear in women’s voices many times. Dave handled this just right.

"He has convinced you that you’re not able to operate without him, but I am convinced the only way you’re ever going to be able to operate is without him!". The definition of a narcissist! I was in a relationship with one, and that's exactly what happens when you "love" this type of people! Dave Ramsey here was an absolute hero! You need a boyfriendectomy! Love him!

@Marie-dv3wi 4 years ago

Child of domestic abuse here: Dave is absolutely incredible. He cared about the woman and her baby FIRST, not the financial side of things. I wish I had had someone like him in my life when I was little.
