Can You Beat Dark Souls Using the WORST WEAPON IN THE GAME?

In Dark Souls, every character starts with this weapon. The Straight sword hilt. Usually what happens is you use this weapon against the Asylum Demon, see it do 2 damage and then immediately swap it out once you get your real weapon, never to think about it again. To put it in perspective, this weapon does the same damage as your bare fists. The range as you might imagine is also dreadful. BUT what if you beat the whole game with it. Is it awful? Are there ways to make it less awful and actually viable? Well today we’re going to find out. Honestly, you might be surprised by what you see here.

If you beat lemon and do the Co-op game, he should only use firebombs/pots, and you only use theowing daggers/darts.

The Velka Talisman was within your reach the whole time! I am going to inform Priscilla and Xanthous King Jeremiah of your sin. You didn't need/want to grind 10 ears for the Darkmoon talisman, sure, but Velka costs the same as the Thoroughland and would have probably been the best for your build. Fantastic use of the throwing "hilts", that was amazing!

Instead of the Thorolund Talisman, this could be one of the rare uses for Velka's Talisman (scales with INT). You wouldn't need to level Faith past 30.
