Nice video, I have had an Xmax since 2018 and love it and like you, I had the Goldwing DCT as well (Gold Wing is gone and the Xmax is still here)

I don't have an Xmax, don't want an Xmax, and have no hate for Xmax or scooters in general. I just want to know what I might be seeing as I ride my own bike, a Silverwing.
Anything over 200cc is just a motorcycle of the scooter type.

🛵I'm short and fat, uh, vertically challenged. The only negative I have for the Xmax is getting on it. I can step across the hump, but I usually step on the floor board then swing the leg across it. Storage, I can put my instant tent under the seat, along with sleeping bag, and tarp with enough room for other small items around the edges. With a top case(39L) I can load enough to travel for about 10 days. Easy to handle in the garage. I make my own custom throttle locks because others are just too bulky(just my own peeve). This is closest to my dream bike I've ever had. The Silver Wing 600 was close as was the AK550, but not as close as the Xmax. Good review brother.
While I love the Vespas, I just traded mine for a Rebel 500 but the Xmax is what is still my daily driver.

I too sold my Goldwing and eventually bought a 2026 Xmax. Do I miss my Goldwing? Yes! Everything but the nearly 840 lbs plus the weight of my wife on the back.
The fact is my use case changed and the XMax is perfect for how the machine is used, primarily around town and weekend trips.

2:00 its ok , but for me its a little small but omg that xmax is awsome scooter, no vibration or so low vibraiton its a dream.
It have downsides and upsides but its a great scooter.
I see my keyless only when i go to service and give keyless to them, thats it.
Keyless is awsome. i love it.
Scooters are KINGS in towns, thats it , no other bikes cant beat them.

Got me one in May 2026 the latest model it is awesome. I retired my bigger heavier, Motorcycle, and now I’m using this little baby to commute to work go grocery shopping I can get everything I need for my wife and I  including 2 gallons of milk so between the storage beneath the seat and just having one of those thermos bags for groceries between my legs as I ride, I can basically do almost anything with this thing. The only thing I won’t do is take a long trip with it I’m not sure a 292 cc engine can handle highway miles for a long time (will just take my car for long trips). I figured if I can share miles with my car, both will last longer.

I’ve had several different motorcycles, Royal Enfield, BMW, Triumph, ranging from 350cc to 850cc. Finally settled on the Kymco AK 550 Premium. Smooth ride, comfortable seat, CC, heated grips, brembo brakes, decent storage and no weird vibrations or buzziness. Kymco had a 4th of July special and 4 year warranty. I also enjoy scenic, longer rides. We’ll see how long it lasts. Thanks for sharing your personal experiences, ideas and tips. Helpful.

There is not only not a lot of them available. Content about them is scarce too. Much more content on the Honda ADV-350 although it is all foreign to the U.S. because it is not available here which is a shame. I like you recently got an XMAX,  I am about 390 miles into break in so still riding at low RPM and have yet to get it above 50mph. I love the thing so far. My last bike I sold a couple of years ago was a Kawasaki Nomad 1700.  I am so glad I decided that small displacement is where it is at at. I have the XMAX and. a  Honda Dax 125 and I am in love with both of them. I have a feeling this XMAX is gonna  be my favorite of all the bikes I have owned. It just handles so easily and has all the power I need and more storage than I will probably ever use.  Very practical and usable machine and it looks good. I don't find the headlights to be bad at all for a bike.

Xmax is so popular in SE asia. Especially in Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore. There are ton of accessories availability here.

I bought mine(xmax 300) in 2025. Now it has 3200+ miles. I love it

That was a really good summary. You've covered a lot of important points clearly and concisely. I have a Tiger 850 but I also love scooters. Recently I sold an excellent Vespa 300 for a 2023  XMax, but I am a maxi-scooter fan.....  one of three 😄 The Vespa is lighter, and more nimble around town, but the Xmax is better on the highway, as you note. The XMax is a huge seller in Italy, where I spend a lot of time, so I'm not worried about parts even in NA. Again, many thumbs up for this content (from Canada).
