I remember the first time I fought an ARL-44. He was just spawn camping hiding behind a building and I was in a jumbo tracking him over and over again while he kept shooting my angled upper-front plate getting closer and closer to my weakspot. One of the most painful moments I’ve ever had in this game.

Talking about 7.5 french firearms is about to make Ian McCallum from Forgotten Weapons to manifest.

Fun fact about the arl-44, its armor is scavenged battleship plating, they actively struggled to find paper to put the designs on, its was only ever publicly seen once. the lower br arl 44 was the original design hence the much better turret while the up gunned was a last minute change.

1:30 the call of duty 3 reference is great and a cool tank mission too

"Heavy tank tank destroyer thing"

Sacré bleu hes correct

I adore the ARL44, got me through so many battles. Wish the turret face was thicker tho.

1:33 holy shit COD 3 reference in this economy? Bohater would be proud

0:40 Spookston acting surprised about anything as if he doesnt have a crystal ball he uses to ponder the future

Spookston, you know whats a fast, ratty light tank? The Harimau calls PLS!

The 90mm SA45 appears to have been based on the Canon de 90 mm CA Modèle 1939 (which was itself a shortened variant of the Canon de 90 mm CA Modèle 1926), which was an anti-air gun that had no muzzle break. The French (Schneider to be specific) seemingly added a muzzle break to it when they decided to use it on the ARL in favor of the American 76mm (which was fitted in the ACL1 prototype turret).

As for the MAS-49/56, the muzzle device was a replacement for the original MAS-49 rifle grenade launcher system, a design it shared with the MAS-36. The 49/56 fires NATO standard 22mm rifle grenades, whereas the original MAS-49 used 50mm rifle grenades (Mle 1948). They made the same change to the MAS-36/51.

Welp. After that CoD 3 reference, i'm going to need an entire M4 Firefly video set up like 2:52 .

2:54 “They’ll give us all medals for this!”

M'lord Spookston Kenzingworth Tungsten the 2st, I beseech thee to play the Centurion Mk.5 AVRE, for an individual in the audience who has lost his leg in a tragic vehicular mishap. Attempt number 4

Day 41 of asking Spookston to play the SAAB-105G

just so you know, so that you go to bed a little more cultivated : "Bayard" is the name of the Knight Bayard (full name being Pierre de Terrail Bayard), the knight that knighted french king François the 1st and helped him win a decisive battle against the Swiss in 1515.

Bayard personified the french chevalry of the time, which woulld then expand to the entiretyu of western Europe. His motto was "without fear and without reproach". He's not exactly a super mega important part of french history, but he's important enough to be referenced regularly in french media. He's the emblem of the town I live in (Pontcharra), which is situated near the castle he was born in, in 1473 (or 1474, sources are conflicted). He died in the italian city of Rovasenda in 1524, to which my town is now its twin city.

the camo seem inspired by that of the B1bis n°251 "Fantasque" (Whimsical/Fancyful), which had an experimental camouflage replicating an orchad (brown trees on green background with touches of yellow), the main thing of the scheme was that it consisted of a special paint with colored cloth fibers applied to the hull. but the scheme didn't prove to be efficient and was fragile to real conditions so it wasn't pursued
it seem to odd to have put it on the ARL though, but i guess that way they can sell it for over 1k eagles

4:33 the agartha edits caught up to spookston too

"Get in the spookzmobile!" Spookston said to the spookysquad while he's spooking his ston

IT IS RITCHER"S NUMBER, as the polish spit on the tank
That is my favorite COD, I knew the reference. I wish it was on team

1:32 that is the most elite reference ever, big up COD 3
