Fun fact! Like many things in OWB, this faction is based on content from the leaked design documents for Project Van Buren (the canceled fallout 3 by Black Isle Studios).

You would’ve been able to meet Kyle and Bear, and could either disable the C-4 implant, or steal the detonator from Kyle, either way gaining Bear as a companion.

The rusty hooks being based out of a space center was also in the design document.

You went there to try and get a rocket to stop a mad scientist from taking over a nuclear armed satellite called BOMB-1.

Van Buren was weird.

That focus tree looks more like a "generic raider expanded" tree, which is pretty nice, bc you get a taste of some nice vanilla buffs while still having a modded plot to follow.

One of the issue with supply is that while you need a base amount of convoy, upgrading supply transport is dependent on motorization: so bikes are super important for low supply areas!

Now, if I'm correct in the mod "nova arizona" for new vegas, I think you can meet the remnants of rusty hooks. They hunt other bandits for the legion, hoping not to get wiped out by them.

The way buildings work in hoi4, there are generally three types of buildings: Shared, State, and Province. Shared buildings are civs, mils, and anything else that uses those shared building slots. The state ones are ones like AA and Infrastructure that get their own special slots. Finally there's province which, as you can assume, are given their own slots per province. Generally the way the shared buildings, factories, work is whoever controls the state gets most/all of the factories. If the state is controlled by you (generally determined by if you own the VPs) you get the factories

In the enclave purist video, you had to join their war and then send expeditionary forces (I know its unrelated but it just really bugged me that it was RIGHT THERE)

Well, at least you took my advice on where to set up with the three tiles. Rusty Hooks will always be pain, but it can be mildly mitigated. Love your videos man, hope you keep doing more David v. Goliath scenarios.
