Emily calling most of the jokes in this movie right before the movie makes them itself might be my favorite part of this reaction. Thank you, never change.

I'm so tickled that so many people are discovering this movie, after it bombed in theaters
This was my saturday morning childhood, maybe the best live action cartoon I've seen

Pippin should have a Battle Cat costume for Halloween

I'm 52 and I absolutely loved this movie. When the original theme music starts playing at the end, I got choked up. This made me feel like I was 11 years old watching the cartoon after school.

I love the look on Matthew’s face every time he sees something from the 80s cartoon

Seeing Matt struggling to keep it together for the first "I HAVE THE POWER". I was exactly the same dude, it took me by suprise how much I could be moved by the nostalgia.

To be fair, in the cartoon, Adam was pretty ripped too

I think every reaction I've seen for this movie made the "Trap-Jaw's got nards!" joke. I'm not complaining.

Only Brian May can make a guitar sound that majestic... (I may have had 'Eternia' on repeat for a few weeks now). But yeah, I really enjoyed this movie. I hope it does well enough on streaming to overcome the bad box office and we really do get a sequel (I've heard one is still in the works).

those hr scenes are so real

The barbarian holding the sword in the comic shop was a recreation of He-Man's original concept art.

“You are but worms beneath my feet.
Butt Worms? Did he just call us butt worms?” That’s the funniest line in the movie. 😂🤣

in the next movie i really want Skeletor to say... "Remember" & "Until we meet again" and then run off screen

@NoctemAeternusMusic 1 month ago

I feel like Skeletor’s thoughts on human resources will eventually become like the Demolition Man 3 seashells bit.

This (to me) felt like a modern version of Flash Gordon (tonally.) Which worked perfectly for it. The fan service was absolutely perfect as well.

This movie surprised me, they did the right thing in not taking itself too serious. Fighting scenes were well done, plot was a bit thin but they made that up by not letting up on the action. Only thought Skeletor's voice could have been a bit more higher pitched.

Yep, the og cartoons were known as "30-minute toy commercials", along with some others, like Centurions, Sky Commanders, etc.

Thanks to Emily, Matthew and Pippin! 🗡 I watched this one in honor of my late, younger brother who adored the 80s cartoon. I enjoyed this retelling. 🔸 Be sure to see Mr. Galitzine in RED WHITE & ROYAL BLUE (2023), THE IDEA OF YOU (2024) and THE SHEEP DETECTIVES (2026).
