FIRST TIME AT YARNDALE! 🐑🧶 | Yarn Shopping, Knitting & Festival Vlog

Knitting Forecast

Welcome back to the Knitting Forecast! 🧶🐑✨

I FINALLY went to Yarndale for the first time! And what better way to experience it than spending the whole weekend there with my lovely friend Amy! 💕

Come along with me for a full weekend of yarny fun, knitting, chatting and shopping at one of the biggest yarn festivals in the UK. Maybe THE BIGGEST? I'm not sure.

This was such a special weekend because I got to:

🧶 Explore Yarndale for the very first time
🐑 Spend the whole weekend with my friend Amy
💕 Meet lots of lovely Knitting Forecast subscribers – it was so amazing to meet you all in person!
🎥 Meet other knitting YouTubers
🛍️ Visit lots of amazing stalls and yarn vendors
🧶 Come home with LOTS of lovely yarn (because obviously!)
☕ Enjoy plenty of knitting, chatting and general yarn festival chaos!

Thank you so much to everyone who came over to say hello – meeting so many of you was honestly one of my favourite parts of the whole weekend. 💕

It was lovely to see you! I’m so glad you had a nice time. It was definitely overwhelming and I was exhausted on the Monday, but so worth it. It’s one of my favourite days of the year!🎉

Amazing to get to spend some time with you. The yarn is fab funky fibres so it’s self striping. Loved your mini skeins, I missed some really good stalls which im a bit gutted about. Hadn’t realised you hadn’t met Amy before yay for new friends. ❤

Hi, Sarah! It was so wonderful watching this video and “visiting Yarndale” with you and Amy…I’ve miss her podcasts. And you met and hung out all of my other favorite podcasters too!! I knew it was going to happen and y’all would get along instantly!! Lucky, lucky, lucky!! ♥️♥️♥️ I’m surprised you didn’t run into Gemma from The Scouse Crafter…maybe you did. I’m sure you talked to loads of people and how could you remember them all??? I’m super excited to see what you create with your yarn purchases and especially the Travelers Hoodie. It’s going to be gorgeous!!! Until the next podcast…♥️✌️🧶

The "man with the yarn but no name" is Riverside Knitting Wools, just in case you want to check for him at any future yarn shows. He doesn't sell online, only at shows. I'm glad that you enjoyed Yarndale 😊

Aww happy to be a yarny friend of yours Sarah ☺️ was lovely to meet you and spend some time with you at the show…
You were very good with your purchases, love what you’re doing with your mini’s… I’m getting quite a collection, so might do a blanket of some sort with them eventually 😅
I wish I could have done both days, maybe next year! Xx

New follower here 😊

I loved this vlog, I will have to go back & watch some previous vlogs.

I’ve never been to a yarn show before (I don’t have any IRL knitty/crochet friends either), so I live vicariously through watching people’s yarn show vlogs 😅

What a great haul. That skipton sunset yarn is gorgeous. They need to do bigger skeins of that 😍
