625,000 MW of Nuclear Power... but there's a HUGE Problem - Satisfactory 1.1

The new update for Satisfactory 1.1 is out now and we're going to mess around with it in our let's play world! First I'm going to setup some nuclear reactors for our nuclear power plant, then we'll start implementing some of the new features from Satisfactory 1.1 like: the new beams, fans, vents, elevators, and more!

Everything New in Satisfactory 1.1 recap - EVERYTHING NEW in Satisfactory 1.1

Store the fuel rods so that you can lessen the strain of starting up the reactors.

Kibs you gotta take your medicine and unlock tier 9.

Doing this without automated power shards and mk6 belts is madness

Couple of potsntially helpful suggestions:

1. Definitely stockpile fuel rods so you won't have to worry about powering the plutonium rod production.

2. If you have a surplus of the turbofuel you're using for the drones, you could run that into some fuel generators for a temporary boost until the nuclear power is sufficient.

3. Mega Battery™ :P

So it starts, the first ever problem with Kibitz's 1.0 nuclear power plant.

Super Earth high command approves of this power plant and sees no possible safety risks with it.

You could put the production on priority switches for a cascading startup, so each reactor that turns on provides the energy to fire up more fuel production.

I like seeing his factory at night. Throw some lights around the area and it's perfect

You can turn off the aluminum and the starter base temporarily to boot up the nuclear program.

Suggestion: box up some fuel rods while you build the plutonium so there’s enough to kickstart the nuclear plants without booting up the whole production line.

I would say go for it. Build waste storage, progresively enable nuclear plants to get the power you need. Store the waste and process it once you have plutonium production.

25:51 you should put the bigger radioactive waste hole decoration below water level, so the panes glow in the water. +the water should make it look murkier

a kibitz update day is always a nice day

For the power problem, find some place you can bottleneck your production in steps. For example, the encased uranium cells are in 3 belts, so by cutting off some of them you can run your factory at 0%, 33%, 66% or 100%. If your factory can't manage power running at 33%, find some ingredient with more belts and use that. That way, you can start your power production gradually. With a 5 belt ingredient, you could start off at 20%, wait until things stabilize, and see how many extra belts you can support to re-connect for the next step.

Might be a good idea to use all that oil around you as a backup fuel power plant in case you need to jumpstart the plant

19:40 Try Batteries PLACE ALOT then afk and you will have for a few seconds enough power xD

@majinvegitto4238 1 year ago

Seems it would make more sense to setup your processing of your waste along with the emergency waste processing before booting the reactor.

@NCThomas821 1 year ago

Suggestion for starting up: Start up the production, reactors and waste processing a piece at a time. Once you have about 10% -20% running, the rest should be easy to start up normally

Kibz I would say make the little bit of waste AND add more batteries. If your production goes over your consumption then the extra batteries will be charged for when more machines kick on
